Usually I try to steer clear of American-Italian dining places here. Their overpowering ketchup-like red sauce and the sticky, over-creamy white sauce are too dreadful for me. The only saving grace is the association of these eateries with my favourite movie series "Godfather", in which there are always scenes of mafia members enjoying a plate of pasta in the midst of chaos and bloodshed.  I have walked past this place many times before and was drawn by its subdued yet classy de...

Great and cozy place in Soho! Atmosphere is great, cozy lunch & breakfast, or romantic dinner. Service is good and friendly. 1. Pull Pork Sandwich was amazing! Taste was rich and not too heavy! Finished the while thing in no time! Thumbs up! 2. Vongole was good. Clams were fresh and sweet! Very generous on the clams. Soup base was ok. 3. Meatballs were always one of the favourites there. Could order to share as an appetitizer. 4. Mozzarella cheese were grea...

The staff were friendly and patient with our orders so everything was going great! The “Set Antipasti” was set at HKD145 for an appetizer, pasta, and home-made blueberry gelato that was magnifique and cooling in the Hong Kong heat. I had the ice team with lemon, a Caesar salad and a pasta.  For the pasta I ordered the spicy and creamy “Farfalle Salsiccia” with peas, cheese and tomato sauce. Since I love butterfly pasta this was a must get for me and adding the extra ...

My husband and I come here probably once a week either for lunch, dinner, or brunch on the weekends. I have never been a huge fan of italian food just because a lot of times it is too heavy for me. But we absolutely love this place. My favorite is the spaghetti pomodoro, the burrata, and the caprese salad. Their pasta is made from scratch as is the burrata and the mozzarella. My husband always gets the chicken cutlet sandwich for lunch. It is so good. Their dinner is fantastic as well. W...

Second time round, waited a total of 0 minutes. This place is definitely on the pecking order for hungry residents of mid levels when they wake up on the weekend. Every man and his dog is here (so it seemed). Having been rejected at 11am on a previous attempt, my second attempt at a similar time proved fruitful. First impressions, the staff were very well organised. Everything went like clockwork, which is surprise in this neighbourhood given the often ridiculously high prices that a...

Came out to Posto Pubblico on the recommendation of another OpenRicer. I lived in New Jersey for seven years before moving here to Hong Kong. Jersey is great for mom-and-pop Italian places, and there were a handful in the area (Alfonso's in East Brunswick was my favorite) that I ate at all the time. But it was never quite what I wanted... it was a little bit too greasy, too cheesy, and too 'cheap' in a way. Posto Pubblico, I think, is what I wanted. Here...

Was meeting a gf for lunch and she suggested Posto, I have been here before but only for dinner and drinks a few times but never tried there lunch. They were pretty busy but still had a table available without any wait time. One thing i remembered from having dinner was there caprese salad which had homemade mozzarella which was delicious! So I had to order that as a starter and my gf ordered the Caesar salad. The caprese did not disappoint Mmmmm! The Caesar salad was light and ...

It has a simple and traditional décor, something different from the vibrant city. Posto Pubblico travelled from New York City to Hong Kong, It uses simple ingredients to cook home style Italian food. For the price you pays for lunch and gets what you eat in dinner is such a bargain. Cuisine: Italian Food rating: 3/10* Service: 2/10 Ambiance: 6/10 Price: HK$130 pax * Food Rating: 6/10 is equivalent to 1 Michelin star, 8/10 to two Mic...

Atmosphere is fine. Nice bar, reasonable selection.Staff are attentive and friendly. The food in some cases was ok and in others not so ok.Starters were egg plant pamregiana and Prawns diavola. They were ok. The tomato base in the egg plant was good. Could have done with a bit more egg plant and less mozzarella cheese. The prawns cooked and topped in a spicy tomato based sauce on a layer of polenta were tasty but very small. The polenta was too soft and runny. A little firmer w...
