Nha Trang Vietnamese Restaurant   芽莊越式料理 

Had dinner here last month. First time at Nha Trang, for Vietnamese we usually go to Rice Paper in Causeway Bay. Overall I feel like this is more affordable than Rice Paper but the food is still pretty good!

We ordered quite a few things, 蕃茄蟹肉湯檬 (delicious and big portion), 越式煎薄餅 (too oily, not good), Spicy 牛肉 noodles (not bad beef very tender and delicious), Eggplant 沙律 (not bad quite flavorful), 蝦卷 (quite good very light and refreshing). We probably ordered something else too don't remember.

Service 好, 不停refill 水. 上菜十分快. Would go back!

had a long lunch with a friend who worked nearby last week

we ordered the raw beef pho, a spicy (seafood?) pho and a few other salads (sorry forgot exact names..)

i was not impressed by the soup (for both dishes), but the salad was ok

overall the dishes are too overpriced for the sort of quality they offer. not sure if i will visit again as the raw beef pho should be the most basic dish of all that if they can't do this right, i have v little faith with the rest ...

would not recommend

We tried the other two branches and knew the food is okay. Just realized there’s another branch in TST so we came here for gathering. No doubt about the food here but we were all irritated by the service.

One of us arrived first but was refused to be seated (!) as the staff said they only let people in when half of the number arrived. They didn’t mention it on the phone at all when we made the reservation. Although the staff was polite, it’s not the right way to serve customer especially no one informed us in advance. Fortunately other friends arrived very soon.

We ordered:
Squid skewers – very tender but couldn’t taste the spice
Shrimps rice roll – so-so
Shrimps & lotus salad – thin lotus roots looked special and the sauce was good
Beef with rice noodle – beef was okay
Pork chop with rice cake – okay
Deep fried sweet potato with shrimps – quite filling

We wanted to order some desserts but the staff said there were too many people so they were unable to prepare desserts! Never heard of this excuse before and in fact, the restaurant was not even 100% full… There were only limited choice of desserts on the menu and they couldn’t even serve “readily-made” order e.g. Gelato. Unbelievable! Anyway, we ordered some drinks instead.

We only stayed for less than 2 hours and the staff came around and wanted us to pay for the bill cos people were waiting outside. We were annoyed cos again, no one mentioned we have to leave within certain time. We settled the bill anyway but one of us hasn’t finished the tea so we still stayed at the table. The staff came again and wanted us to move to another table as some customers wanted to sit at our area (seafront)! We didn’t wanna be difficult so we switched to another table and chatted for a while before leaving. There were actually other tables available so not sure why the staff insisted us to leave the original table.

The food was generally okay but they really have to think about how to provide good service to their customers. Afterall, it’s not the only Vietnamese restaurant in Ocean Terminal. Customers deserve other choices with better service!

Sat nite 4-ppl dinner, around 8 sth.

Highly recommend this restaurant:
- No waiting required - nearly all restaurants in harbour city had long queuess so we were so surprised!
- Sea view available - we were too lucky.
- Nice decor - theme color is white. clean & comfortable.
- Good service - the waiters responded fast.
- Average ONLY $80 per person - remember its TST!
- Food not very impressive but at least not bad (see below).

We ordered:
1. 生熟牛肉河：tasty beef, thou I'm not a beef lover. sweet soup!
2. 軟殼蟹卷：nth special, ok as the normal 軟殼蟹卷
3. 咖哩牛腩：not spicy, ok, good w/ the garlic bread but better if its more tender
4. 蒜蓉包：i'd left it for some time, not crispy enough
5. 濱海伴燒雞：chicken was nicely tender
6. 煎薄餅：quite special, with beef, shrimp, some nuts inside, eaten w/ lettuce. but its hard to handle
