Delicious Green Tea Ice Cream Smile Apr 22, 2013
Share with MessengerShare on TwitterShare on Facebook
I passed by Kasho Chaya inside CitySuper after dinner and decided to try their green tea ice cream. The matcha flavour was intense and refined, and the ice cream was amazingly thick and creamy. It tasted absolutely gorgeous, but I was really full afterwards as the ice cream was very filling!

Lovely plain Hokkaido icecream Smile Apr 01, 2013
Share with MessengerShare on TwitterShare on Facebook
Came back for their delicious ice-cream!
It is so nice you can never get sick of it.

This time I got plain icecream because I was not interested in the rest of the fancy addons such as red beans, green tea jelly etc.

    Hokkaido icecream:

The plain icecream is not a bad deal because you actually get quite a fair amount of icecream in it.
The ice-cream was very dense and thick, yet very airy, with fine air bubbles infused inside.
It was very interesting, because it was like cold thick mousse and gooey marshmallow.

I have been here so many times but never tried the green tea flavoured icecream because the vanilla ice cream was always nice.

This time I ordered No 8, which was half vanilla and half green tea with dumplings and green tea pudding cubes.

The green tea ice cream was not as sweet as the vanilla, it was milkier with some bitterness.
The taste of green tea powder was quite strong.

I was quite disappointed today that they sold out of the green tea drink because I wanted to try that.
However they had cheese and ham obanyakis which was not there before.

The vanilla ice cream, dumplings and green tea pudding cubes tasted how it should.

As usual, the soft serve here tastes great every time, however I found the one in TST doesn’t taste as creamy and thick as the CWB branch.

I wanted to try their new drink, but it was sold out, and the next day I went it was also sold out, so I got the plain ice-cream instead.

    Anyway, it still tasted good!

World's best ice cream Smile Jan 16, 2011
Share with MessengerShare on TwitterShare on Facebook
    Date August 23rd 2010

Ordered: Number 3 - Green tea + milk ice cream

Taste: This ice cream is so irresistable. It deserves alot more compliments then it has. First time trying it got me hooked. kpet coming back everyday for it. Again and again. Couldnt have anough and did not get bored. And what was worst was, I kept thinking about it. it is like a drug.

it is made of Hokkaido milk which I drink everyday. It is sweet and has a unique taste to it. I love this ice cream especially with the green tea. It is strong in green tea flavour which is quite bitter. But the Hokkaido milk neutralize it and it taste really good togther. The ice cream is smooth and milky. It is not to sweet and ice cold. i love it. i will pick this over Froyo anytime. i have been having this in summer and in the winter. I LOVE IT.

    Amazing soft serve ice-cream

In England, soft-serve ice-cream is everywhere, especially in the seaside towns, there are lots of ice-cream vans.
It is usually served on a wafer cone with a chocolate flake.
Apart from ice-cream vans, McD’s has them too, but I never liked soft-serve, because the taste lacked vanilla and it was too milky.

I was expecting myself not to like the soft-serve here, I only ordered it because I felt like something sweet and I didn’t feel like froyo.

I picked number 9 because I don’t like green tea ice-cream, red beans, I just wanted to try the plain hokkaido milk ice-cream. It also came with green tea jelly and japanese mochi.

The portion was rather big, the japanese mochi and green tea jelly were put on the bottom of the cup, and the ice-cream on top.
The colour of it was white and smooth, the icy particles were not visible.
The ice-cream looked very thick, it reminded me of toothpaste!!

I tried my first spoon of it, and I was amazed, the taste was totally different to the McDs soft-serve and the ones in UK, it was truly creamy and not the milky type.
The ice-cream was very dense and thick, yet very airy, with fine air bubbles infused inside.
It was very interesting, because it was like cold thick mousse.

The green tea jelly was really good too, it was a mixture of kanten jelly and agar texture.
The Japanese mochi wasn’t that nice, I thought the size was too big, I would have preferred mini ones.
