Tried the new skewers here which reminded me of the satays served with peanut sauce because the ones here were also served in peanut sauce. The satays come in fours or eights. Although it was Italian style I felt that it was quite Malaysian because of the satay sauce but only Italianised because of the onion sauce.
When I ordered, I asked what meat it was because it does not say on the menu and it turns out to be pork so I ordered four skewers only, had it been chicken I would have ordered eight. Apart from me, I found other people asking whether it was chicken and getting disappointed when they found out it was pork. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Italian style grilled stick
The two sauces that came with it were sour onions in oil and satay sauce. The satay sauce tasted the better of the two. The satay sticks looked like if they were reused because of the blackness of the skewers, I doubt they could get that black in one grilling without the meat being more grilled than the sticks!!
piece of fat on top and da black skewers

Felt like going to Saizeriya and was glad I went because there was new items on the menu. Tried the grilled squid and batter grilled shrimps which was not previously on the menu. Also ordered the black pepper sauce and chicken combo. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
It looked nearly the same as the product shot, however I was worried it might not have been cooked thoroughly as the squid was huge and thick, Anyway, the middle was not cooked long enough but edible. The sauce for the squid was really nice, it was similar to satay sauce but with more savory tones in it. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The shrimps were huge, they were the same length as the table spoon. The coating for the shrimp was quite thick too, the sauce that came with it was the prawn cocktail sauce that is served with the prawn cocktail and fried chicken pieces. The coating was sligthly burnt and dark if you compare it to the product shot. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
This was a platter of fried chicken pieces, chicken wings and grilled chicken thigh with black pepper sauce which is quite good because you can sample all those items. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

This time ordered the pasta in ink, prawn salad, garlic bread, minestrone and chowder soup.
Always my favourite here, because the pasta is not too soft and al-dente. There was a bit too much finely chopped garlic than usual, and there were more squid tentacles than the body in the pasta.
There was a choice of garlic bread with cheese, but I found it was just the same as the cheese one by adding Parmesan cheese powder to it.
The menu showed thick tomato soup with lots of pasta in it, hence this was why I ordered it. However when it arrived, it was watery and it was just vegetable soup and no pasta in it. Not real minestrone if you’ve had real minestrone soup!
Asian style chowder soup. Overall the soups were cheap, the portion was so small, and the amount of soup in the bowl was so shallow, that the spoon hits the bowl when you use your spoon. Although I didn’t like the soups there, I appreciated the other sweetcorn soup stated how it tasted on the menu. Other Ratings: Taste 3 | Environment 3 | Service 3 | Hygiene 3 | Value for Money 3

My daughter brought me to this place, I never heard of it before.Decoration is minimal but acceptable,The 3 of us had:Smoked salmon pastaSeafood risotto Seafood spaghettiSpinach with baconPortion and quality mediocre, so is the service. But at this price, what do you expect. I am in fact quite satisfied, will certainly be back for more. They have done a goog job in the price and portion size, making them extremely competitive, and also allowing people to choose more dishes. The menu has slightly changed at Saizeriya, the items have slightly gone up in price, but it still tastes as good as before. Tried the buffulo cheese which was nice, pure white cheese. The seafood paella which was not on the menu before was good too. The only item that let the food down was the fried egg, which was overcooked, not with a sunny yolk.

Saizeriya is a success in HK since it opened, but it never drew my attention before. Being located in Nan Fung plaza in TKO, I just assumed it was a local chinese-italian restaurant. After seeing all those positive reviews on Saizeriya, I decided to try it someday, but the strange thing was, HK Epicurius hasnt reviewed it yet. After consulting HKE, it turns out he had a better deal trying it in China, it is nearly 40% cheaper than the already cheap prices in HK. HKE’s review in China: http://www.openrice.com/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=2051443 When I sat down and looked at the menu I realised it was a Japanese branch. It was established in Japan in 1968 and then opened their first overseas branch in China in 2007. Other branches in HK are located in Tsz Wan San and Tsuen Wan. The restaurant has been in the news in Japan for serving pizza with melamine-tainted dough from China in October 2008. Saizeriya is not limited to Italian food; gratin and Hamburg steaks were also added to the menu From the pictures posted by others, it didn’t really stand out against the other Italian places such as Pizza express or Amaroni’s so I was totally sceptical about the food there. I also heard the food was ridiculously cheap too so I didn’t have the expectation it would taste good, the total bill for ordering starters and mains etc was under $100. Ordered squid ink risotto, Chicken demi-glace, Prawn cocktail. Squid ink risotto:The rice was nice and soft, although slightly bland. Prawn cocktail:This salad tasted the best, especially the sauce, it wasn’t too sweet and the sauce may be slightly savoury for others. Chicken with Demi-glace sauce:This was the highlight of the meal, tender and juicy chicken thigh with crisp chicken skin. The sauce was interesting, it tasted like yellow bean sauce, however demi-glace is meant to be a rich brown sauce in French cuisine traditionally made by combining equal parts of veal stock and sauce espagnole. Apart from the food served to your table, the rest is self-service, which enables the staff to primarily take orders and bring food faster to people. The drinks are available at the drinks bar, which is self service, same with the condiments. To pay for the bill, you need to bring the bill outside to pay.

pukushan (Non-member) | I went to Saizeriya couple of times as I live very near to the restaurants. The price is very reasonable there, dishes are averagely 30 dollar. However, I find the taste a little... strange? i tried the sausages, fries, hamburg steak, squid-ink spaghetti, sausage pizza and meat-sauce risotto. NONE of them tasted great... well...except the fries? and the soup, rice and salad. I find the drink bar very pleasing with hot and cold drinks, although most of the cold drinks are soft drinks. Seems like they are losing customers compared to the first time they opened the restaurant. I used to wait for about an hour but now, I only had to wait for half-an-hour. I'm not too sure if I will ever go there again!! Spending per head: Approximately HKD50(Dinner) Other Ratings: Taste 3 | Environment 3 | Service 3 | Hygiene 4 | Value for Money 5

TKO resident (Non-member) | The food is really cheap, $26 for a spaghetti, $22 for a risotto. Always long queues in the weekend, so we decided to have a try on a weekday... What we ordered were simple dishes - 肉醬意大利飯 & 白汁雜菌意粉, a 芝士focaccia, and we took the sets with salad and soup. The meat tomato sauce for the risotto tasted terrible!! And the risotto was far too wet. My friend also commented the creamy source for his spaghetti was weird with some sour taste. For the soup, salad and bread, reasonable quality with the low prices. Would prefer having a meal at Maxim's fast food than here. It was last sat. This place was incredibly crowded, but after queuing up for 2 hours, looked at the menu, looked at the service, especially the attitude of the front desk receptionist. Terrible Terrible. They shouted to the pple who were queuing and waiting. There was no ticket system to queue for a table therefore basically there was no order with the crowd. Inside the restaurant was extremely noisy and the drinks self service bar was very messy and dirty. I did not like the food and the price came with it. Definitely I will not go there again and will not recommend to others. Recommended Dish(es):
