I've chosen a green tea without red beans cos I feel that it will be too sweet with red beans added. I also added the pearl for texture . The result is ....good texture but bad taste. t.t Although the lable shows "no sugar "it seems that there's sugar added to the green tea mixture already? It become much sugary after 15 mintes which is unacceptable for no sugar added product. The experience was a disappointment . Takeaway Wait Time: 5 minute(s)

Just went to Gong Cha to get bubble tea with my friends and sister. We bought 8 bubble teas (just the normal, milk bubble tea). The price is only $12 for a massive cup of bubble tea, so it was quite worth the money! The line was a bit long and we had to wait for a short while. However, it did not take too long and we had our drinks in around 5 minutes or so. The bubble tea itself is very nice and the 'bubbles' had a very good consistency. Overall, I think that the bubble tea is a very good deal here! I was SO full afterward though, so I won't be having dinner. Two hours after having that bubble tea and I feel so full still! We went back to this, it was still 'hot and popular' with the queue. The milk tea was solid HK$12 a cup - good taste and value for money, for its size. Luckily the queue was not too long. We only waited for about 5 minutes.

the bubble tea here may be big for hk standards but it is just average if you're in taiwan. the price is expensive compared to other shops in the same area but the taste is NOT proportional to the price. it was bland, tasteless AND it wasnt cold Spending per head: Approximately HKD15 Other Ratings: Taste 1 | Environment 1 | Service 2 | Hygiene 3 | Value for Money 2

Ater finishing my putonghua lesson, I noticed there was a Taiwanese tea drink shop, therefore I bought a caramel milk tea, though it was not as crowded as it used to be, I waited for more than five minutes. The shop was quite clean and new, but since I've tried it, I didn't feel anything special. So i just had a purchase of milk tea for large size. The selections were far less than in ComeBuy of which was in Tsuen Wan. I will be tasting in a few minutes later. Ha! I might try other flavour when I have the chance to come again, but actually, the shop was worse than I had expected.

We ordered a green tea with coconut jelly. The tea & the jelly were so bloody sweet, even we asked for less sweet. The favour is so fade that we have decided to dump it in the bin. This shop is getting worst & worst each time we visit. i think this is the last time we went there, we have to go back to their head to head competitor. 0o0meimei0o0 (Non-member) | cuz i've read many articles saying that its gd n new in mk so i went to try! since then i have to drink 奶蓋烏龍茶 daily. size is so large n worth to buy ..just 12HKD, like the texture of cream as well...i'll lick all cream after finish ooglong tea....and i tried 奶蓋green tea one time . was too sweet (honey green tea plus cream), so i wud recommend 奶蓋烏龍茶, n i like the drink served as vyvy cold! However, i found everytime i drink this , cudnt sleep after that... is it bcoz of the TEA effect? The service is actually quite efficient even there's a queue everyday. There 's a small sticker on the cup states the item of yr drink -> quite organise and the cover of the cup seems to b firm n tight so that the drink will not be spilled so easily. which i like it much, coz i normally drink it when i m at Minibus n on the way home.... wont spill on da floor even though minibus drives fastly Recommended Dish(es):

As so many smile faces in OpenRice, so go to try it's Taiwan style drinks!!! I went there on Friday afternoon 15:xx, non-peak hour, only need to queue up for 3 persons to buy the ticket. And then I think less than 15 minutes can get the drink. Ordered 珍珠奶茶, 奶茶 is quite sweet (as first time try it, so try it's original taste so didn't request for 少糖); 珍珠 not many(about 1/5 of the cup), not big and not 彈牙 as I expected (maybe I expected too much due to so many good comments here) $10 for so big cup of 珍珠奶茶 is valuable but if need to queue up for long time, I don't think it worth. any shop in Mongkok offer similar taste of 珍珠奶茶. If not many people, will try its 奶蓋茶 next time. Other Ratings: Taste 3 | Environment 2 | Service 3 | Hygiene 3 | Value for Money 3

Hipster (Non-member) | I purposely went there to try their 奶蓋woolong tea at 330pm. Wow, there was a queue but luckily, it was only a 10min wait vs 1 hour which I read from the magazine awhile ago. The drink was ready in less than 5 min. There are 4 staff there. I ordered 奶蓋woolong , sugar free and less ice + pearls. Wow, HKD12+2 (pearls) for such a big cup! Recommended Dish(es):

I'm quite disappointed. I ordered lemon green tea with pearl (no ice). It tastes very watery with no taste of lemon or no taste of tea at all. Although it is cheap, it is not worth it because i think the quality they put into the drink is not good. However, the pearl is okay. It's not too soft or not too hard. I think the pearl is the best part of the drink but the drink itself....I drank only half of it and don't want it already. The environment is okay. It's small but it's somewhat clean and the service they give is okay too. The shop name and design gives it a ancient dynasty feel about it, almost like crouching tigers, when the shop is actually from Taiwan. Only 6 series of drinks available 1) Foamy milk tops with various teas, 2) Plain teas 3) Milk teas 4) Fancy drinks 5) Fruit concoctions. Anyway I chose the Foamy milk top with green tea, because the Taiwan teas do not usually mix milk with the lighter teas, ie green tea, unless it is the flavoured ones such as taro milk tea. The cup was big, same as Easy drink Easy Go, clear green tea at the bottom with a layer of foamy milk on top. I was rather impressed with the straw, because it was silver, my favourite colour, and first time I have seen a silver straw, also it was rigid. I poked the straw in without stirring the tea and milk together to try the green tea, tasted the Jasmine aroma and the sweetness of the sugar. I drank almost half without stirring the milk, then I set the drink aside, the milk itself slowly infused with the tea, turning from a clear colour to milky toffee colour. After it was mixed properly, it was nice and creamy, it reminded me of clotted cream, since some of it remained slightly clotted in little lumps. A totally different taste to the plain green tea, very smooth and silky, and almost like drinking a very light cream. Then finally, after finishing the drink, there should be cream on the lid which you can also indulge into it too. Other Ratings: Taste 3 | Environment 3 | Service 3 | Hygiene 3 | Value for Money 3
