I just recognized this shop is well known and reported several times by the English-writing online medias. Well, I have been there twice, both in the late mid-night, or say, in the middle break of night-out party. It is quite a convenient, cheap, tasty and clean street-restaurant in Wanchai, just one street away from the bar street, Lockhart Road. The restaurant is small; the entrance is fully covered by the glass counter with a rich collection of Thai food, most of them are Tha...

I have never liked Tom Yum Kung or perhaps I have never had an authentic one. The only impression I got from it was the strong taste of lemon grass. The Tom Yum Kung here is quite nice and the vermicelli is the super thin type that absorbs the soup. However, the broth was not that strong compared to the one I had on a earlier visit. The Thai sausage slices were thick and peppery. ◎ⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛ◎ Price: $3x Service: OK Service charge:...

I go on holiday to Thailand nearly every summer and I would definately say this place reminds me of my holidays! We had it take-away because we couldn't find a place to park the car but I wouldn't have minded eating there - there were tables set up outside the store along the pavement. The waitresses were really friendly and eager to help.  Satay ($12 each): Had beef and chicken satay. Beef satay was good - not too tender, very beefy, great marinade. Chiken sa...

Walked past and saw these attractive Thai snacks which I got.I do not know what they are and they could not quite explain what they were so I will just have to describe how it tastes. ★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★ Cute sandwich:The small bag contained lots of mini individually wrapped sandwiches which were three pieces of bread sandwiched together. There was sweet spread in the middle which was very buttery but not too sweet. ★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★...

★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★ Crispy salted roast pork belly:This is another one of my favourites here, the salted roast pork belly is really similar to the one served at this Thai joint in Sai Kung. The saltiness is just right and not as salty as you think. There is an equal balance of fat in between the pork and the crispy skin. The pork is really delicious because it is crispy and salty, and fat in the middle is chewy. It reminds me of pork scratchings and ...

After trying the Thai sausage at Thai hut I decided to try the one here. The one here was too dry and not as flavourful as Thai Hut. There was less noodles in the sausage and the sausage was chewy.

I have never liked Tom Yum Kung or perhaps I have never had an authentic one. The only impression I got from it was the strong taste of lemon grass. The Tom Yum Kung here really surprised me again. In general most of their food is good so I decided to try their Tom Yum Kung as well. I never knew they had this dish until I read OpenRice. I had the TKY with vermicelli. They said I had to pick something to go with the noodles so I picked the chicken. I tried the TKY...

Havent been here for a while so decided to come here because the food at Thai Farmer reminded me of this place. Before I went I checked the reviews on OpenRice to see if there was anything interesting and saw some items I wanted to order, but when I got there, I couldnt find them on the menu. Since it was super busy as usual, I just ordered the fried rice. Next time I will try the vermicelli in tom yum kung and sliced duck and vermicelli in soup. The fried rice was as good ...

Previously tried stir-fried Korean noodles, which are glass noodles but are thicker in diameter. This time I tried the Thai version, it reminded me of the bean thread noodles that the Filipino’s serve. The Thai version was slightly sweeter, and it had cabbages and egg.

This is the first time I purchased a non savory item, they don't usually have Kaya for Thai food, but they had these cute little buns with Kaya paste inside. Just as the picture shows, there is a generous dollup of Kaya inside. It is thick, but not that strong in pandan taste, and a little too sweet.
