1. There is no discount from Citi Bank / Standard Chartered / Bank of China credit cards: If you read the reviews down below, you would see different versions of credit card discounts. Some say 40% off (=6折) for Citi Bank, some say Standard Chartered, some say Bank of China. And these reviews are recent with the latest one posted right below (in March 2013). It turns out that NONE of the above banks credit cards offer any types of discounts!! It makes you wonder whether these comments are from REAL customers or not. The truth is, only CCBI (建设银行) credit card offers 30% off. 2. The price of the food is abnormally high: Expect $288-$398 for 10- to12-ounce steaks. $88 for salad (you will be given a very small plate to fill up yourself, but given the size of the plate, your salad size would not be big anyways). Over $300 for baby back ribs (~12 pieces). Many other places charge LOWER price for the same volume. 3. Even if you don't look at the price, the quality of the food is sub-par: Ordered 3 different types of steaks. The one we ordered medium is MORE COOKED than the one we ordered medium-well! The medium one is just OVER-COOKED and DRY. Worse, the medium-well one is quite rare with blood and the person could only finish half. I think the chef just doesn't care and mixes up with customers' preferences. The steak itself must also be from an average grade at best. This makes the steaks I have tonight as the worst one I ever have - it tastes like eating just some bloody flesh with no real beef taste in it. For salad bar, there are not many choices: limited to one or two green veggies, a few other veggies, a few pasta and two types of fruits. They are not rotten or anything, but not super fresh or tasty either. The dressings taste too diluted. The peaches are also a bit dry. For baby pork ribs, the meat is too dry and there is not enough sauce. Thic combination make them taste blend. Definitely not the juicy types of pork ribs that you are looking for in this dish. For salmon, that's probably the better ones out of all the above. At least its a bit juicier with fresh tastes of the real salmon. It's not the prime type of salmon, but salmon is also diffficult to cook it wrong. If you are to pick a dish, pick this one. In conclusion, this place is not worth paying a visit, whether from price or food quality perspectives. I might as well just go to Sphaghetti Hous* or Outbac* Steakhouse or any others you can think of. I sincerely hope this review can help you not waste your hard-earned money in this place. We had 4 people in total eat at the CWB Ruby Tuesday. It definitely did not live up to the expectation. Food - One of us ordered a steak medium-well done and it came out all bloody and raw, definitely not anywhere near medium-well done which we had initially asked for! When we asked the waitress to cook it up a little bit, she had a very sour look on her face. The veggies were minimalistic, almost there for style, even though the menu stated that veggies were on the side. Overall dining experience - The service was very average as well, had to wait ages for drinks to get served for example. Also we were asked to settle the bill because it was closing even though it was only 10.30pm on a Saturday night, yet there were plenty of table still ordering food and eating! For the 4 of us, it was a little over $1000 in total. Save your money and go elsewhere. Table Wait Time: 5 minute(s)

My friend made reservation with this restaurant a few days ago. They were too busy that they only offered 1.5 hours for us to eat. It was because my friend had Ruby Tuesday 40% off coupon so we still dined there. I am American and had some knowledge about what is American food. We ordered appetizer of fried calamari and wings. The waiter said we could add HK$20 for soup. We all had Clam chower soup.
We did not go for any main couse anymore because of the quality of food. We left the restaurant at 7:30pm for the next dinning place. The total cost after discount HK$250 I am disappointed of this restaurant and shame to make American food like this. Table Wait Time: 0 minute(s)

We required to change the table as part of the air-con was broken. The servers are very nice, they allowed us to change the table. We ordered Fries with cheese, it is very very very nice. Buffet-Salad- so so, not bad, not good. steak is very nice, not tough. However, Dessert looked good, but tasted bad. I will go to Ruby Tuesdat later, but i will not try there dessert again. i had the buy one get one free lunch set coupon so we came here for a lunch then. i used to come here for lunch pretty often and i missed it, i'm glad i came back again. each lunch set was served with bread and the soup of the day or a salad. we both chose the soup. it's the lobster bisque. actually everytime i had lunch here, the soup of the day was the lobster bisque, i wonder do they actually change it? anyway, the bread they serve now were bread buns instead of garlic toasts
for the set, i ordered the Cerole Catch. i missed that the most among the lunch sets.
we ended our meal with hot coffees. the coffee's okay. there might be some slight disappointments, but this is still one of my favorite restaurants to dine. i'd still love to return. but i'd only return for lunch sets if i have the buy one get one free coupon. Booked a table for 7:30pm and about 5 mins before, received a call trying to confirm our presence. Zero waiting for table as booked early. Place was pretty FULL and the first thing one notices is that the waiters are all doing their best to entertain "frequent clients" and leaves some sort of a cold feeling to us patrons who are NOT regulars. Another prominent thing once you sit down is they would ASK "you're our MEMBER correct?" When we said NO, immediately (before the menus) they slammed down the membership application forms and start saying we shld join as thats the most valued membership all round..... Went there with my son to have a "father-son" Chinese New Year dinner and we shared some appetizers (chicken wings, union platter, then the 2 main courses were their BURGER & the U.S. Tenderloin... all were good tasting though they could have organized their timing better as we were still having our appetizers when they brought our main courses with a result that our table was littered with food quite UNLIKE the sort of service from an expensive higher class restaurant like RUBY TUESDAY! I strongly suspect that the waiters get commission for client memberships as they STILL touted the membership when we had the bill and was on our way out! In concluding, the food and ambiance was good BUT NOT really worth the kind of pricing and service!

Was there for a light lunch, so ordered a mini trio, and a "build your own sampler". Ruby Tuesdays are famous for crab cakes, so I ordered the mini trio which includes a crab cake in one of the mini burgers. Mini trio: Cute buns with a side of fries, the fries were a bit dry, but were nicely spiced up with black peppar. The mini burgers were cute, but not as tiny as the dinky ones at Shakem Buns. I liked the crab cake one most, although the patty was a bit loose. Build your own sampler: I chose chicken wings, chicken strips, Breaded shrimp and broccoli cheese poppers The only let down was the chicken wings which tasted a bit plain. The chicken strips were tender and juicy, and tasted exactly like the strips at Pierce. As for the breaded popcorn, they tasted like the ones at Bubba gump. The cheese poppers were nicely done, not overfried, with gooey cheese oozing out with bits of broccoli, that too reminded me of the ones at "Toppings". It was like having a collection of snacks from different places.

I was so glad we ended up dining in Ruby Tuesday last Christmas Eve. We were lucky to get a seat as we didn't make a booking, but we went there really early Lobster bisque was really tasty, probably a tad too creamy for most people, but I like creamy. So hungry from all the shopping, we weren't happy with just the Christmas Eve set dinner for two, ordered another plate of buffalo shrimps. They get our tummy teased. Crispy, springy, and spicy. The fork tender ribs with classic BBQ sauce? Super tender, smoky, and flavorful indeed. One of the best ribs I've had in Hong Kong. The scallops & Aged Prime Sirloin...the steak was out of this world. Tender, juicy, and bursting with flavors. The scallops could have a little more caramelization on them, if the scallops weren't there, I won't miss 'em As for drinks, the mango mojito was ok, a little more mango flavor would be nice. The Ruby Refresher wasn't bad, but not memorable. I will definitely go back to Ruby Tuesday for the ribs, steak and snacks. http://mochachocolatarita.blogspot.com/2009/12/christmas-dinner-at-ruby-tuesday.html
Mango Mojito - just OK

Went here to have lunch. Ordered a Grilled Chicken Breast (Cajun Sauce). It came with some mashed potatoes which was very creamy and smooth. The chicken breast was perfectly cooked. The cajun sauce sprinkled on top of the chicken greatly enhanced the chicken's original flavor. I also went to help myself a plate of salad. $60 dollars for a small plate of salad? I'm sorry but that's overprice to me! I could make that at home. Other than that, this restaurant was great. Recommended Dish(es):

Arrived on time at 8, however, no tables yet can be served for me, even my friends had not arrived. Luckily, I could sit at the bar seat, then I dun need to stand for 15 mins... The bar tender was really nice and asked me to get a drink and wait... however, I needed to wait till my friends to come, thus, I asked for a glass of cool water only...but he was very kind to offer me a large glass. Finally I was led to a quiet table with 4 seats. A waitress is assigned for each corner of the restaurant to serve several tables. Karen was our server on that night. She was very nice to describe all the dishes for us! Finally, we ordered many dishes with drinks. After 2 hours, we needed to sing song for the bday girl... As our bday girl has guts to ask a waiter to give her a kiss and sing a great song for her!! There were 5-6 waiters and waitresses around us and sang a song for our bday girl... We had a really nice night at overall. Thanks Ruby Tuesday to offer a great and wonderful night to us!!!

The best vegetarian burger I have ever had. A must try if you like vegetarian burger. The short ribs are also great. The meat is very tender and the seasoning is just right. The crabcakes have lots of crabmeat inside and not too filling, not like those with lots of mayo or sauce. The regular burgers are very juicy too. Nov celebration dinner a 7-ppl dinner. Booked 7pm. We came here because we'd the Openrice buy 1 get 1 free coupon. The waiter wanted us return the table at 8.30 but we wanna stay longer. He said he would try to make it. Negotiable? Reduced appetite recently, so I didnt eat much this night. But thanks to my friends for choosing the dishes while you know there're a lot to choose from. 1. colossal burger: the must-order food in RT, still good. 2. wagyu burger: the beef didnt taste very good and its NOT juicy. we all like the colossal burger more. but the bun was still crispy after its left for some time. 3. sirloin steak, half raw: its too bloody, I didnt eat it. 4. salad bar: good, i like the potato with herbs, but the vegetable wasnt as fresh as that of caesar salad. 5. lasagna with fish fillet: the fish fillet was bad, no flavour at all. it didnt match with lasagna. too little lasagna but too much cheese. just like stuffing your mouth with thick pieces of cheese! 6. shrimp pasta in creamy sauce: i wanted to eat only the big shrimps. pasta only w/ little creamy flavour, and its dried. i ate up all as i didnt wanna waste too much food. 7. chocolate tall cake: another must-order food in RT, we all said there's so little ice-cream, making the cake drier. p.s. We were all very thirsty but the drinks came only when we had urged the waiter for several times. And we saw the waiter finally prepared the drinks for us instead of the bartenders... and the waiter agreed to give us a free drink in the end Another thing - the table next to us was celebrating birthday. And we all said the waiters/waitresses were happier than the birthday man did, as they sang the b-day song. Its good, isnt it?! Maybe I come here quite often, and the food is not surprisingly good, somehow I'm fed up with RT now. Shouldnt be coming again shortly. Thanks for the treat. Congrats! Although it has more branches than Tony Roma's, the ribs at Tony Roma's are much better. The ribs are tender, but do not come off the bones easily. The rest of the sides are just ok, such as the coleslaw and egg salad. The egg salad was made with the western creamy sauce rather than salad cream. I think next time I will order the mini burgers.

I don't like being sold insurance when I eat. But thats how I feel coming here, the server keeps asking whether I will buy their membership card. $400 for 3 months membership, expensive and frankly, I usually do not eat at the same place so often within a quarter year. I think I was asked like 5 times. Food: We had the $498 meal with drinks and an additional pasta - total ~$950 !!! (Monster score with drinks, eh? Drinks' good business!!!) Crabcakes - Lumps, served with sauce and salad. Decent.lump cakes, but salad has no dress?!?! Wagyu Steak - hmmm fatty but... fatty. Seems like the line chef wanted to make the steak look bigger by leaving in too much fat that usually is cut off. Flavour is decent at medium rare. Half Ribs - Standard American fare, but the mashed potatoes didn't go well with the ribs. Maybe it had too much butter in it? Don't know. Shrimp Parmigiana Penne - standard penne. Didn't like the shrimp. Waiter suggested this one originally as "Chicken and Shrimp pasta" but didn't see any chicken afterwards.... Its un-American to bother people when they eat. All these discounts and what not. Stop selling me the card. Its an annoying experience. All I can think of is, "when will the waiter come over and try to sell me again??" I can't even enjoy my dinner. Date of Visit: Oct 02, 2009 Other Ratings: Taste 3 | Environment 4 | Service 2 | Hygiene 3 | Value for Money 1

Ruby's food is gd in general. The size of each dish is enough for 3-4 fds to shared as max, provided that you have ordered a few other choices as well. Haven't gone for 2 years since everything is not competitive enough without such 50% discount , but I don't want to pay at least $400 to get one. I've got one 2 months ago due to another fds gathering. This is my third time to dine in Ruby's Causeway store. I used to go to the Taikoo ones with my sweetheart but this time we choose this location for friends gatherings. Some of us arrived at 7.00 pm while not many tables are full , a waitress approached us with a very clear goal - pushing us to order the drink first , even though not all of us has been arrived yet. We ordered some drinks and salad first but the waitress wasn't very happy. The quality of food / all dishes is standardised for different regions but the sizes of the same food varied. I have ordered the same dishes in the Taikoo stores 2 days ago (last Sat night) while the sizes of the dishes is absolutely different- the most obvious one will be the Chocolate Tall cake - one of the largest top seller of Ruby - the no. of cream is doubled in weekdays. We also found that the later you ordered , the larger portion it would be - could be at least one third larger !! Poor service of the CWB Ruby is shown when we are asking for common forks and knife and the refill of drinks (iced tea). It seems that we have to 'catch' the waitress everytime and they showed us very slow response. E.g , when we ask for refill of Ice Tea , it takes at least 20 mins for one glass. I wonder if these are the strategies taught by the company or not. I'm sure this is a very gd idea to hurt the business in long run- destructive action to its reputation ! Their instant lost is that - I decided not to continue buying the 50% off Discount pass - the last $400 / 90 days is enough !!
