their BBQ spare ribs is my favourite dish.... and i must hv it every time i go to Macau however, this time i was really disappointed 1/ they cooked the spare ribs with the fishy smell of sardines side by side... the mix taste just terrible, and wasted the whole dish !! 2/ the lovely bread no longer exist ! cold and normal bread served overall comment... disappointing and if they do this again next time, for sure out of my favourite restaurant list forever... pls be professional Fernando ! Went to Macau with my wife for a short vacation break. Ate at Fernando before but don't remember whether it was good or not so decided to give it another try. We arrived early and sat in the non-air-conditioned dining room. I forgot about the fact that they didn't have air-conditioning. Recommended Dish(es):

20091212識飲識食 (Non-member) | We all six people came there from HK in order to try this restaurant on last Saturday as it is very famous. Two of them even tried it 20 yrs ago. We arrived there at six o'clock but there is one to two tables left only. We ordered 1. 葡式燒乳豬 (有1/4隻乳豬, 好味, but too expensive, it cost $138) 2. 燒沙甸魚 (common taste, no special) 3. 菜沙律 (tomato is very nice) 4. 馬休炒飯 (common, no special) 5. 萄式豬手 (nice, but a little bit heavy) 6. a bottle of distilled water (costs $35 for 1L regardless of how many people you have) (No one told us we had to pay the water, ridiculous) 7. bread (common) * 炒蜆 was sold out In conclusion, we all six think you should taste the 1 & 5 only , it is really far away from the town, and the toilet is not good enough. I have visited this restaurant for more than 5 times already, the quality is really good. Would recommend the suckling pig, braised pig knuckle with red beans, roasted sardines and the crab hot pot. The beef cooked in beer sauce is also not bad. Oh, and don't forget to get their bread rolls (free of charge) which is very good indeed !! Gotto wait for an hour long. it sucks... they don't let you reserve the table, so when u get there, it takes you an hour for waiting and u have no where else to go, u can't leave 'cos there's no any other restaurants nearby. just wasting my time, and the food is ok, but it's not worth to wait for an hr long. I've been there for quite a few times. In fact I go Fernando whenever I go to Macau. It's not that bad at all...the point is, do not rate it with 大家x or 大快y standard, they're not on the same thing. It's a place for you to relax the whole afternoon, company with their excellent bread, roasted pig, sardines & beer. If you go there just because you saw some goumet critics booklet in conjunction with 忽x y 周,you might be disappointed. I adjust my "Hong Kong" attitude before go eating in foreign land....& I'm very happy. Other Ratings: Taste 4 | Environment 4 | Service 4 | Hygiene 4 | Value for Money 3
