After trying these on my first visit, I was back for more.
I am slighty confused because some reviews say that it is minced prawn tofu puffs but the woman that sells it says that it is minced fish.
This texture is created by slicing tofu puffs in half, turning it inside out, stuffing it with minced fish paste, sticking them on skewers and frying them. The exterior is extremely crunchy, and the filling is slightly chewy with lovely fish taste. It costs $10 per stick with table tissue wrapped around it which keeps my fingers lovely and clean. Things to note: - there are 2-3stores, the lower one (corner one) would be quicker, but the upper one (the one that sells chicken wings and chicken nuggets as well) sells FRESHLY FRIED products! - use the kitchen towel to absorb as much oil as possible! 釀魚蛋炸豆卜 $10 for 6 pieces 新鮮炸起好香好脆, 亦不失豆味. 外脆內彈牙真係令人食上癮!!! I had 3 x 6pieces last time I went!!!! 魚蛋 $10 for 5pieces 彈牙, 有魚味, but $2 per piece is a bit too expensive? Spending per head: Approximately HKD20 Other Ratings: Taste 4 | Environment 3 | Service 4 | Hygiene 3 | Value for Money 3

Again, saw pictures of this crunchy tofu and the lovely white filling inside, I just had to try it. The filling inside is grounded de-gutted prawn, hence it is spotless.
The exterior of it, looks similar to smelly tofu, and the surface is very interesting, a bit like loofah/bamboo pith. This texture is done by cutting the tofu puffs and turning it inside out, putting the grounded prawn paste inside, placing them on the skewers and then deep fried. There were alot of reviews that said it was tasteless, but as I didnt eat anything with strong taste before, it tasted really nice. The outside is extremely crunchy, then when you bite into the part near the prawn, it is slightly chewy, and the into the prawn patty which is then softer. It costs $10 per stick, and they wrap a tissue around it, my fingers were kept nice and clean, the tofu was not greasy at all.
I think without sauce, it tastes good, but if there was lemon or vinegar to put on it, it would taste much nicer.
