Love this place. I am not sure if the food's authentic, but everything taste delicious to me. I love their pho (with generous serving of herbs, lime and chilli on the side), the fried water spinach with lots of garlic, and the soft shell crab rolls. We tried the Vietnamese crepe/omelette filled with pork...it was delicious! The deep fried spring rolls were decent, but I won't miss it. The braised pork belly in coconut juice (not coconut milk) is especially delicious...the sweetness of coconut juice compliments the tender stewed pork perfectly...and the broth is fantastic for dipping...their non greasy prawn toasts Surely, I'll go back for more soon. http://mochachocolatarita.blogspot.com

The four of us came for a late supper. There is normally a queue outside this restaurant during normal meal times. There were tables free but unfortunately the waiter told us they were already out of Pho, soup hor fun. Well, that is a great disappointment as Pho is a must for a Vietnam meal. Nevertheless, there is usually enough of other dishes we like. We have been to this branch a few times and found it to be not half as good as the one in Central, but we were lazy and we live nearer Wanchai and there is easy parking at Hopewell Centre. We ordered, spring roll, steamed rice sheet wraps, vegetarian rolls, broken rice with pork chop, tomato and crab soup vermicelli, roast pork cold rice noodles. Apart from vegetable rolls and spring rolls being OK, the other dishes were all below standard. The crab vermicelli had no crab to be found and there were cold pieces of egg pieces in soup which the waiter said was meant to be, the roast pork were big pieces of chewy pork not roasted, the broken rice tasted wet. So next time, we can't be lazy, we have to go to the Central branch which serves wonderful food. restaurant under french colonial setting, so that they can charge a premium featuring the English name nha trang to lure in innocent gweilo patrons, and "positioning" themselves to be of higher class >.< 高檔? 低脂? 好鬼多味精就真, 出邊平一半好食過佢! 改個英文名代表識飛!? 個menu睇完我冇嘢揀倒, 揀jor嗰啲都唔得, 咁你話點啦! 順化牛肉檬, the speciality of this dish is extra tough beef brisket with no flavour, the 檬粉was actually 米線, other than that, it tasted exactly the same as the PHO PHO, tasted ok actually, until I got extra thirsty afterwards. 香茅牛肉撈l檬 咩事! 啲牛肉打獻嘅?! but honestly speaking, disregarding the gravy flooded beef, the rice noodle itself tasted pretty good with generous amounts of condiments, including letteuce, cucumber, fried garlic etc. Spring rolls, ok, along with the spring rolls came letteuce, and surprisingly, mint leaves, basil and cucumber slices, guess that's why they can charge you double here. Prawn toast, they emphasise low fat cuisine, guess that was why theprawn toast was baked, not deep fried. Sorry to say, it don't work! Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk, nope, nothing worth raving about. ps. there is this obnoxious waiter who thinks the customer should be very familiar with the menu. I didn't even bother correcting his attitude

Bad Experience (Non-member) | Just had dinner there one night to celebrate my birthday with 8 friends. Brought a cake and a few bottles of wine. The restaurant said they have to charge us corkage, $100 per bottle. Fair enough, most restaurants in HK do. The restuarant then said they will also need to charge us a cake cutting charge of $10 per person, which we thought was ridiculous. If the restuarant had cake as one of their dessert selection in their menu, then fine. But they didn't have cake on their menu. It's not like we chose not to order their desserts and brought out own, but they simply didn't have what we wanted. The manager (male) was not very pleasant and didn't agree to waive the cake cutting charge even when we told him we were celebrating someone's birthday. It didn't seem to matter to him that we were one of the big tables (if not the only big table) that night. We didn't like the charge and didn't feel it was reasonable (to be honest, we didn't really like the manager's attitude). We didn't open our wines nor had the cake at the restaurant in the end. The food was so-so. The portions were small. Given the bad experience (and rigid way of they are doing business), I don't think I'll ever go back to this restaurant again. Dinner here before watching movie. We ordered: 1. steamed egg: ok delicious and sweet, but just a small portion needs $45, expensive!!! 2. chicken wings with pork inside (no bones): there were four pieces ($45) and couldn't compared with the one i ate before at Thai restaurant. The 皮was hard. 3. curry steak: very oily!!! Oil float on the top and can't be cleaned! 4. rice 5. sweet potato: Good, very soft and sweet. I think it is not worthwhile eating Vietnam food at this cost! Spending per head: Approximately HKD120 Other Ratings: Taste 3 | Environment 4 | Service 3 | Hygiene 4 | Value for Money 2
