It was really good to attend a Bubblicious gathering organized by Pierside and a food publication.
The theme was a cute Bubble dinner with lots of bubbles incorporated in every course.
For mains there was beef or fish to choose from, both were irresistable and hard to choose! It would be great to eat both because both had really attractive elements, for the beef it was beef cheek and foie gras and the fish was prized monkfish tail and sea urchin. Monkfish is a prized as lobster tail and sometimes exceeds the value of lobster!

I really loved the cute diced truffle jelly on top, it just melted in my mouth and the strong truffle taste paired nicely with the scallop carpaccio. The champagne vinaigrette could have been stronger because I could not taste it, but even though I did not taste it, the overall taste was extremely delicious. ★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★ double boiled crab bisque cappucino:
There was pretty foam on top just like cappuccino but the bubbles were bigger. The soup beneath the foam was really hot and the consistency of the soup was slightly viscious with my favourite small chives.
The pieces of crab in the soup was really nice and the crab taste was strong. ★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★ seared monkfish tail rolled with prosciutto and sea urchin foam:
The main dish was beautifully presented with a piece of lushious carrot, fennal root, grilled courgette and blanched tender asparagus. The monkfish was really delicious and succulent and paired with the refreshing sauce the monkfish was really appetizing flavoured by the prosciutto wrapped around it.
It was topped with the silkiest urchin and lovely light foam. ★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★ baked jumbo strawberry souffle:
The size of this souffle was huge and there were real pieces of strawberries in it.
There was a side of freshly made strawberry sauce which enhanced the souffle even more. It was not too sweet and when you see it brought to you the size is stunning with the sweet pink colour.

You walk in and are greeted by a fancy flight of stairs and a smile-free hostess, who unwillingly escorts you to the make-shift outdoor dining area - essentially a parking lot with outdoor furniture - western da pai dong style. Classy.
If a 298 HKD dinner sounds too good to be true, it is.
The starter was calamari (read fried squid rings) and a seafood trio of seared tuna, shrimp, and baby octopus. All of which tasted like it was pre-made three days in advance.
Next came the soup - a concotion of lobster bisque with shark fin. Imagine a typical cafe de coral level bisque, watered down to half flavor, littered with bits of hard stringy glass noodles, you get an idea.
The mains. A poorly overcooked / flavorless 4 oz steak and fries. The other was green curry and shrimp accompanied with a piece of naan bread. The curry sauce was the only thing passable.
Dessert - some kind of ricotta cheese mouse with various canned fruit bits, leftovers from the bartenders cocktail decorations - This is so bad, most cut-cost airlines would have felt guilty serving.

Had their $88 light lunch buffet, if you want a main course, add another $40. But I am more a dessert person, so light lunch is enough for me.

Soup: To my delight, Cream of mushroom with salmon (I light salmon), nice to dip with the bread.
Salad: Really not much meat around. Not a lot of leafy vegetable either. A few variety of prepared salad. Liked the greek salad, with the red broad bean. The apple was sauteed well. Crouton tasted weird. Quite a lot of garnish: walnut, peach, pamesan cheese etc. 4 type of sauce: thousand island, italian, cesar, house dressing (I liked the most)
Dessert: 3 cake (crunchy sponge cake: the crunch is too sweet, brownie: a bit too dry, once finished, was replaced by another very ordinary cake, cheese cake: good, like the mccafe platinum kind) small dessert cup: jelly of different kind, and green tea mousse?)
Fruit: Melon, watermelon, plum, dragonfruit and pineapple.
Drink: Had the coffee, rather bitter, had to add a lot of milk.

We a party of four had dinner there last Saturday. We sent on the outside, not a bad ambience, apart from the fact that it's actually next to a road with coaches next to us. While seated, we were offered glasses of water. Very unfortunately, when the waiter handed out the third glass, the poured the final one on his tray all over my friend's body. Drenched, he's not overly pleased but didn't make a complaint still. That was a trainee waiter anyway and he was very apologetic. Then dinner had to go on, though we don't think the food is up to standard of a hotel restaurant. Halfway through, a more senior waiter asking if we're ok. Then he offered to give us an orange juice. We ask if it is going to be one free round of orange juice and he agreed so. That's gladly received. Later when desserts were finished, I was on my way to the washroom and ran into the senior waiter. I told him that we'd like to have coffee/tea but out of my surprise, he told me that we had had orange juice already and we wouldn't have tea/coffee!!

Portion was small too. Taste just so so.
If without the HSBC Credit card buy 1 get 1 free offer, I would not recommend.
