I have always wanted to eat here because of their luxurious noodles with foie gras and truffle, however Tai Kok Tsui is really hard to locate!

Anyway finally found it but I went during the day so I couldnt order the noodles with foie gras but I ordered the signature preserved egg and noodles with oyster sauce and foie gras oil.

Preserved eggFrom the photos this preserved egg looks so cool! The preserved yolk is molten.
When it came it was exactly like the ones in the previous reviews.
The texture of the preserved egg is mushier than the usual preserved eggs that when you pick it up with chopsticks the preserved egg white breaks.
The taste of the preserved egg yolk was really strong and delicious.

Preserved gingerInitially I thought it was boring sweet pickled ginger but I was wrong.
I appreciated the way they did not use colouring to make it pink.
The taste was really sour and I loved it and I ate all of it, and it was really refreshing to finish off with that after eating a really strong tasting preserved egg.
The pickled ginger is preserved themselves.

Oyster sauce
When I ordered I thought the oyster sauce would be seperate from the foie gras oil.
I usually ask them not to give me the oyster sauce because I do not like the Lee Kum Kee type.
Anyway when it came the oyster sauce looked different so I gave it a try and I was amazed!
It had real oyster taste, the Hiroshima oyster type.
The only complaint was that it was too sweet, but it went nice with the noodles and the lettuce.
As for the foie gras oil I could vaguely taste it.

LettuceThe lettuce was nicely blanched and the soup was really nice and not water as I initally thought, so the lettuce had taste.

Well after I discovered this cafe from the reviews here, quickly rushed to try this after my Yoga class last night

There were only 9 ppl in front of me at 9pm..... After 30 mins, I got seated actually there were a few empty tables at the back. But I understand there is only 3 ppl serving inside.

I ordered
中式法國鵝肝伴干燒麵, 魯肉餃, 溏心皮蛋 and pear tea

Too bad, no dessert or turnip last night.

Food was above average the dumpling was really special it has minced pork meat inside the dumpling.
As for the 中式法國鵝肝伴干燒麵, it has the foie gras old and the shop's special made oyster sauce which I finished but left half plates of noodles.

I couldn't finish the noodles as only me eating hahah

The boss will not let me order as I wanted to try 碗仔翅, she said next time.

The quality of the food is not good at all, it doesnt deserve so many smily.....what really IMPRESS me is that I have to wait for 30 minutes just for a bowl of noodles, and the shop is very few ppl by the time....yeh the noodle is a bit over cook of cox...I have been to this shop twice, and they impress me every time I go.....

I have seen some beautiful photos of their productions here, by can a photo tells you the taste of it?? u can have a try to form your own opinion....for me, it is a waste of my time and Quota to go there the 3rd time....

After having hotpot with friend R, I suggest to have the dessert. We have seasame sweet soup, sweet tofu and baked pudding. Maybe too high expectation on her pudding and come out with a sour taste (deteriorate?). From my memory, their noodle and dumplings were ok.

After seeing the comments from here, I came to eat noodles from Tai Koo Shing... But the results is very disappointed.

Food has no taste
No service
Drink is just like sugar + water

I started to think if the quailty has been degraded or the comment given before is fake.

New dessert (西米布甸) is very sweet, creamy & tasty but needs to wait around 20 minutes or more.
It's far away from my home but it's wealth to visit & wait.
P.S. The fake shark fin soup is great too!!!!

Becoz I'm living in N.T. and knew this restaurant longtime ago in some papers but not have chance to visit.
This Sunday we just go there.
You can't imagine a clean & nice shop who selling such snacks like this.
The food is very good and delicous especially on that Taiwan dumpling just like a real taste in there. Bytheway, the soup taste is good too.
I would like to share my experience to all my friends & thanks it makes me a good time.
