As my first review here at Open Rice - YAY! - I'll do something simple and easy, so apologies if there are no pics to make you salivate ;) Here it goes...

A must have food when I go to HK!

The first time I went, tried the veggie burger - I'm not a huge fan of vegetables but my cousin was vegetarian. I was pleasantly surprised and at my next visit had the triple-o burger (i think that's what it's called) it was "oh my god" not many burgers can top that lol

Ever since, whenever I go to HK this outlet has become a definite drop point for a quick lunch. It's also a good break from all the Chinese food I'm subjected to in HK tongue

Juicy Burger ~ OK!!  Smile Jan 25, 2010
Share with MessengerShare on TwitterShare on Facebook

Since I grow up overseas, I always have an urge to eat something western and foreign. This time I would like to try a Hamburger from Triple O, which was first founded in Canada.

I ordered a Mushroom Burger Meal, and it comes with Coke and chips…..

Hm…… quite impressive, the beef is very juicy, the sauce matches very well with the mushroom. And the good thing I like about Triple O’s is the away they place the pickle ‘outside’ the burger (and inside the wrapping paper), so that you can choose to add the pickle into your burger, or leave it out. (Personally I don’t like pickle, that’s why I think it is a very considerate way to serve customers.)

While I was munching on the burger I found that the packaging of the Heinz tomato sauce has traditional Chinese wordings on it (see pictures), so I guess that’s made in Mainland ?? hm…..

Overally, I would rate the meal with an 8, and it would definitely be better if it comes with a LARGER size Coke! lol

    Triple O's Smile Dec 14, 2009

This entry is inspired by Mochachocolata Rita's recent venture to Duke's Burger and Jin's latest entry on McDonald's. Strongly influenced by their mouth-watering experiences, I was craving for burgers as well!! As I passed by Triple O's at Harbour City after my XMAS CD shopping spree, I went straight towards to counter without much hesitation. Instead of a meaty burger, I opted for the fish!!

    (1) Fish Burger
The fish fillet was thick and the battered layer was crispy. The inside was moist and flaky, wonderful indeed. There were plenty of cooked onion and tartar sauce as well. So how would I review? Well, I was licking most of my fingers at the end so to from the phrase from KFC, it was "finger lickin' good"! (what I regret the most was that I SHOULD HAVE ORDERED THE MILKSHAKE!!!)

    Likes:
-Fish Fillet was thick, crispy out the outside and moist + flaky in the inside
    Dislikes
    - the heated bun was a bit too soft (maybe I was grabbing it too hard?)

Avg Spending: Below HKD 100 per person

i tried out the mushroom burger...

there's this pickled cucumber and tomato sauce inside
and it went well with the mushrooms
the bread was kind of crispy and it was not too soft
but it was not as delicious as i thought it would be
i think its a bit too expensive
overall, its not worth trying to me

Very good service Smile Dec 28, 2007
Share with MessengerShare on TwitterShare on Facebook
i must really commend the excellent service of the staff in the outlet. I was toppling my tray of order myself this afternoon when I got all my food ready. A little surprise that the staff actually brought my full order back to me! Of cos, those dropped on the floor were apparently thrown away, but I was really pleased with the fact that the staff replaced all the open food without question asked. I had a mushroom cheese chicken burger meal and chicken supreme burger, both with meals and a chicken strip. The taste of supreme and strips were ordinary, but the cheese burger was good. Still, it was the service that impressed me. Not that i would wanna visit them because of my own embarrassment, but these people rock! Good on you, fellas!
