My friend and I randomly pondered into this restaurant since the restaurant name caught my eyes. We wanted something healthy and light before we head out for drinks. The restaurant was very quiet at around 7:00, so we got seated right away. As we sat down, we were told that we have to return the table by 8:30 since there were bookings after us. We looked puzzled because the restaurant only had one more table besides us. The waitress did not offer us water and did not ask us if we had anything question about the menu nor tried to explain to us about their happy hour. We had to wave her down to tell us what was the happy hour and asked for water. The restaurant offers tapas happy hour for buy 3 get 1 free dish, but the tapas did not look too apealing so we opted for entrees. This restaurant offers a lot of vegetarian choices but there are also plenty of meat dishes to choose from too. The menu is pretty extensive from soups, salads, tapas, entrees, and pastas. Since I was trying to eat healthy, I decided to give the chickpea burger in pita bread a try. Ive never had a chickpea patty so was very curious on how good this can be.
Throughout dinner, the waitress was unintentive, and honestly not friendly at all. We left at 8:30 exactly and the restaurant wasn't even full, so I dont know why the waitress put a time limit on how long we can dine. Other than the horrible service, I think the food is great and lots of interesting choices. But I wouldn't suggest coming if you dont want to deal with bad customer service! Heard that Eat Right served healthy food so perfect choice for a late Monday evening catch-up with the girls after our respective gym sessions or so we thought. We had reserved a table for 3 people the night before at Table Map. Arrived and given a small table suitable for 2 people and judging by the other diners' large plate sizes, there was no way 3 plates would fit on the table comfortably. Given that (1) there were already a few vacant tables; and (2) it was a Monday evening after 930 pm, we did not expect the restaurant not to accommodate our request for a larger table. To our surprise, the waitress barked an aggressive "NO" to us and insisted that the table she had provided was sufficient and there was the possibility she will have more customers. Before we could even respond, she had turned her back to us and walked away. As you can imagine, we didn't dine at Eat Right that night which is a shame as the food looked good. To say customer service at Eat Right is solely poor is an understatement - the waitress was rude, abrupt and unaccommodating. Judging by previous reviews, it appears that bad customer service is a recurring theme with this restaurant. On that basis, will not be returning to this restaurant. Date of Visit: Apr 29, 2013

Fantastic place to eat if you want something healthy yet still feel you're eating out. The lambchops taste like where you would find at any other nice restaurant. It's juicy and cooked with just the right spices. The hamburger tastes great with the whole wheat bun. Their fries are basically potato wedges but the tastiness of the burger makes up for it. The menu is extensive enough for meatlovers and vegetarians. The food is fantastic and I am a frequent patron except the service could be better. The staff has probably never heard of "service with a smile". I was here for one afternoon and they served our food without cutery and we also had asked for extra condiments and it took a long time for it to come and when it did non apologetic at all. If they could increase their service level I'm sure they would have much more guests. So I came by Eat Right with my friend and found it to be in a really good location in Soho on Staunton Street, we were actually supposed to eat somewhere else but came accross this place on our way. It was quite crowded, but we managed to get a table Its a great place, simple and nice decoration! I had chicken fajitas and my friend had swedish meatballs and they were actually quite good! and supposedly (according to the brochure) this place serves healthy food and just the right amount of calories. I think the ambience is quite nice as well (no loud music or rowdy people), it's overall a nice place to chill and have dinner Service wise- the staff were friendly and helpful, looks like i will be visiting Eat Right again very soon! I used to order take-away food for quite a while at Eat Right but for a few months now, quality is really really going down the rather mediocre Soho ladder. Is that the cook Is that the food quality itself Service is not improving either (for a few months, there was this waiter with long dirty hair and nails). Usual take-aways are Chili Con Carne (HKD 104) and Thai Chicken Burger (more or less same price). For an healthy restaurant, cooking oil is really disgusting, taste is average, rice is hard and micro-waved. Anyway, it came to the point of food poisoning 2 days ago with the Chili Con Carne. Really bad. I am really furious, especially since I saw it coming. All that to say, it was the one too many, won't come to Eat Right ever again. Recommended Dish(es):

we were the ONLY diner for this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon.... Perfect!!! I love to enjoy my meal in a quiet atmoshpere with the least disturb! grabbed a sit next the the window to get a taste of some sunlight, this place has a high ceiling, painted in black and grey tone...it should be quite romantic at night with some candle lights. many choices available from the menu and they offer all day breakfast for weekend too! they emphazise a healthy diet as what they stated from the restaurant name "Eat Right" you can even ask them for a calories menu for each dish as well..... i felt like burger today, so i ordered a chicken burger with cheeze and a cup of Flat White. I couldn't complaint anything for that cup of Flat White...that was reli reli great~
tho the burger size fell within expecation, the chicken meat was not juicy at all and i just feel like the burger is vy vy dry without any sause >< (maybe that's the way they classify "healthy"..
she kept placing wrong orders..... (1) I ordered ICE flat white, but ended up she delivered me a hot one...(the hot Flat white tasted so great that I forgave her mistake this time) (2) I ordered additional cheese for the burger, but i can hardly find any sign of cheese in that dry burger. Obviously she missed that too....oops!! Despite of the poor memory waitress, Eat Right is indeed a nice place to chill & for fine dinning. Recommended Dish(es):

I've eaten here for lunch twice with my friend and found their food tasty yet healthy(ish), so after a spinning session with my bf we came here for a bite to eat. The food quality is very consistent and tasty every time, so I would recommend those who want to be more healthy you should come here. They have a separate menu showing you the (estimated) calorie content of each dish, so you can be good when you need to. There is an area for improvement for the restaurant owner though, that is the staff training. I agree with another reviewer's comment about the staff service at lunch time, as I assume "the boss isn't around" and therefore the customer service level drops and the staff were a bit slack at both of my lunches. My napkin had a big streak of dirt on it and when I asked for a new one, the staff just snatched it and looked really pissed off. No apology given, which should be the basic level of customer service. The waitress this evening had also removed my bf's empty plate while I was still eating, which I know it's a little pedantic to criticise, but I am not eating a take away at home! If the restaurant owner takes pride on their customer service levels as much as they do on their food, it should improve Eat Right's overall dining experience for future diners. Recommended Dish(es):

A belated birthday celebration with a good friend, and to meet up since my belated birthday dinner. Since both of us were not too hungry and we wanted something light and healthy, eat right drew our attention. Most of the dishes have calorie listed so that you could choose dishes you like without worrying that you would put on weigh. If you have food allergy, this restaurant may be an option for you, as it has gluten free option etc. Since we were not that hungry, we ordered 1 appetizer and 2 main courses. Scallops were fresh and with a few drops of lime juice, it was just great. The salad on the side was fresh and crispy, well deserved the price. Since each of us picked 1 main course and I am a big fan of beetroot, so I picked this salmon dish. The Salmon was grilled to medium well, and the fish meat was tender, no taste of roughness at all. Beetroot was from a tin, so you would not expect too much differences from what you get from supermarket. Again the salad was fresh and crispy, but I'd prefer they serve it with grilled vegetable. Since the last trip to Greece, my friend fell in love with the country and he likes Tzatziki very much. Basically, Tzatziki is made of strained yogurt, and with garlic, olive oil, cucumber, parsley, pepper and lemon juice (may include some other spices, depending on the receipt). Both of us liked the Tzatziki they served and it went well with the lamb. The problem rested with the lamb (we ordered medium) since it was a bit rough, and it was not juicy at all, it was a real disappointment of the night. We also ordered 2 glasses of Selbach Riesling ($62 per glass) The service was attentive at the beginning and they changed plate at reasonable time. It was, however, getting a lot worse later the night as they sticked together and engaged in small talk with each other. Recommended Dish(es):

Having no idea where to eat, my friend and I decided to try this restaurant. We order two lunch sets (there were only two set options), but somehow the waitress managed to forget what we ordered and had to come back to us twice to confirm what we ordered. The salad was ok, would have been nice with a bit more variety in the veg, but not bad overall. Then there was the main dish - tomamto fettucini with scallops and tuna, and pork tenderloin with mash. The tomato fettuchini was over cooked in every possible way - the scallops were overdone, so were the tuna and the pasta. The tomato sauce wasn't great either, the tomato flavour didnt come through. Its a pity that it didnt quite work. The pork tenderloin with mash was better, although the pork could do with a little more gravy/sauce and the mash with a little more seasoning. For dessert we had warm chocolate cakes. Nice big strawberry at the top which went nicely with the chocolate cake. Had lunch at this restaurant upon the recommendation from a friend. In a nut shell, the food was ok, save for the bug in my salad... Both My friend and I ordered the set lunch: Mushroom soup - wasn't bad, nothing out of the ordinary Burger - (friend's main dish) burger was fine, but the sauce for the fries was...funky Lasagna - the lasagna itself was quite juicy and the beef was well marinated, but there was a bug in the salad, which is totally unacceptable To be honest, even though I was given a replacement dish, I had lost my appetite as soon as I saw the bug. Let's just say that I won't be coming back. Period.

We were 6 with some local and French for a nice dinner after work with colleagues. We were choosing some tapas to share before the main course but we were not very hungry. The I-guess-is-the-manager, a blond Westerner came and we asked him for suggestion. First of all we asked how many tapas should we order for 6 people before the main course. He replied firmly "Six". We found it quite a lot so we ordered only 2. But the blond gentlement insisted while we were ordering by making lots and lots of suggestions, but not in a warm and friendly manner. It made us very uncomfortable and felt being forced to spend money in an aggressive way. Then we ordered the main course without him forcing us too much. However, at the end, he insisted that we order some wine too. But no one between us had the mood for wine so we inclined the "invitation". Then he started to say, without a smile, things like "But are you French? French people don't drink?" The French friends among us found this remark quite aggressive and very unfriendly. So, in return, we insisted that we would not order any wine. I think this blond gentlement is not making good suggestions in a friendly manner according to the needs of the clients. There are so many other restaurants with friendly service in the same street. My friends and I said that we would not return to this restaurant any more. Well the food is ok but a bit expensive for what they actually is. But my main comment is on their service. Date of Visit: Nov 10, 2009 Spending per head: Approximately HKD180(Dinner)

jesmine_gg (Non-member) | Since I have visited in March till now. The food menu has been changed better and better .. Our menu : (2 people) Starter : my favourite "Minestrone" ,its very rich of taste if you love tomatoes soup and also the veggies with Pita Bread (it is interesting but healthy mixed and match with soup.) Main Course : Funghi Risotto (Mushrooms and sticky rice ), it was cooked with leeks and basils beside you have tasted the cream and cheese ,but not heavy and its the one of innovation tailor-made dish I think. My friend preferred the vegetarian lasgne better, caused he feels liked to eat the pasta . It found the spinach , pumpkins inside the flat sheets , fine stuffed the stomache even if you felt so hungry yourself. Dessert : Strawberries , Chocolate and Hazelnut Sauce . I'm lovin' it caused it always make me smiles when I've seen the berries. I am personally love it so much .Frankly , most people cannot eat more when you almost done of dinner . But I would recommend the dishes if you feel liked to taste the sweeteness in your mouth. I really liked "Eat Right" caused they mentioned the calories from menu and you should control yourself when ready to order.

It is an interesting attempt to cook American-style breakfast healthily. This restaurant has done it - with small portions! To be fair, let me state the upside first. The service is okey - the server never hurried us and the food landed our table fairly quickly after placing an order. The restaurant is spacious enough for us to sit comfortably. The location is great as it is right next to the escalator so we didn't have to walk much in such stuffy and heavily polluted air today. Now let me talk about the food. Well I must admit that the restaurant is considerate in telling you exactly how many calories a dish fills you with (but how exact? Does every egg give you the same amount of calories?). It is also a nice try to cook the dishes with less salt and seasoning. However it is not an excuse to give you a portion so small that is almost against the purpose of eating breakfast (i.e. to start your day with enough energy). While in another diner at Soho a 3-egg omelette comes with a 3-egg omelette, hash browns, toasts, and an orange juice, the same order at Eat Right gives you just a 3-egg omelette at the same price. What's worse, one side of the omelette is overly cooked and hence cannot be swallowed. Finally I dropped $200 (for two persons) for a burnt omelette and a coffee and walked out of the restaurant hungrily. Never again!
