The sauce for the prawn sashimi was the best I ever tasted, but we had to add the garlic on our own, guess the chef was too busy.
呢個正到一食, 再冇望碟炒蜆. 個辣汁較得剛好, 酸, 辣, 鹹, 甜, spicy, 帶晒啲蝦嘅鮮甜味出嚟, 喺香港食到我咁印象深剋係得呢間
Prawns were fresh and bouncy to the mouth, sauce was amazing, hot, sour, savoury and spicy yet it didn't cover the flavours of the prawns, in fact, the sauce helped bring out the sweetness of the prawn

The bread was mega hot, that's all I can say.

The clams were quite spicy and tasty, but after tasting the prawn sashimi (which came after the clams), the utility of the clams dropped a fair bit, that's how good the prawns were.

The curry prawn balls was just so so, the curry was too sweet with too much coconut milk. The prawn balls, crispy and hot, but didn't really have the taste of prawns.

The tom yum, soup could be better, it was presented in a plastic bowl, and the temperature dropped when I finally had time to taste it. Should it be served in a metal bowl with a flame underneath (strange enough, the table beside us had their soup served in the metal bowl), the flavours would come out better.

Stir fried vegetables was made very roughl not recommended.

Well, I will go back for the prawn sashimi, and will order ahead their fried fish thai style.

I've read a lot about this hidden thai gem in causeway bay, so the 3 of us (2 westerners and a chinese girl) decided to give it a try.

It wasn't the easiest place to find, but if you follow the street numbers and recognise the wooden door on the left with a smalll thai script next to it, you're on.

They don't serve beer, so my friend went down to the convenience store to get some soft drinks and beer. In fact, they don't serve any iced drinks like lime soda or longan juice at all, it's just regular coke, sprite, cream soda, and lots of fresh coconut juice. Jugs of water are plentiful, and they put a bog roll on our table right at the start... might be an ominous sign of things to come.

A lot of food on the menu has to be pre-ordered, even fish cakes, and a lot of dishes weren't available (prawn spring rolls, satay, I mean, aren't these supposed to be staples!?), so we ended up with:
- prawn cakes (crispy on the outside, meaty on the inside, not oily)
- pork belly (smaller portion than shown on picture, slightly dry)
- pad thai (not much in it except the noodles... no fresh prawns, no bean sprouts, 3 pieces of tofu, 2 slivers of fried eggs, about 4 sprigs of spring onion and half a peanut, tasted pretty bland, we had to spoon curry sauce over it)
- chicken curry (rich creamy coconut sauce, tender pieces of chicken)
- stir-fried eggplants (not too greasy, fresh and colourful)
- stir-fried razor clams (well cooked but not overly so, right amount of spice and flavour, tasted fresh)
- mango with sticky rice (they could have given us more coconut juice, which the waitress added upon our request in a little soy sauce dish, not even a small bowl of it, though the mango slices were thick and fleshy, enough for 3 to share)

We looked over our shoulders and saw other people ordering the shrimp sashimi and whole seabass, and also some fantastic-looking squid. Or took the waitress' advice for the beek brisket pot too. Perhaps those are more popular choices with other customers and the chef.

Service was scanty at times, but they were attentive enough to refill the water, or take away dishes piling up on the table. The food was a little slow but that's because you can see only 2 pairs of hands toiling away at the back of the kitchen, very much a family-run hands-on business. TV was on blasting local soap operas, people were a little loud but you can still hear each other speaking across the table. Air-conditioning was a little weak, but the fans made up for the air current.

Overall it's not bad, quite decent for its price, and a little interesting place to take friends to once in a while. Though flavour-wise, I prefer Thai Shing downstairs.

I went with my family on Saturday and we had a great time! We ordered 12 dishes and food was excellent and portion is quite big. Their food is very authentic.

Only disappointment is Garlic Bread and Hainese chicken. Garlic bread is dry and almost no garlic and butter. Hainese Chicken was microwaved...

Service is good. Felt sorry for the only waitress in the entire place! But she tried to help as much as she can.

But all in all, we had a great time and definitely will go again!
