Dinner here. Order 2 dinner sets. The setting is good, candle lights on and dim environment. Mine: risotto w/ king prawn (texture of riso. is not chewy enough, not al dente as authentic one, i dun reli buy it) Another main: grilled steak (maybe i dun reli like steak, not impressive for me at all) Baked oysters, just so-so, nothing suprising at all. Just love the pumpkin soup, not watery at all, full of rich. like that! Dessert part - apple tart (hot and great) Strawberry fondue (nightmare..........can't believe da taste is too artificial, better try chocolate one next time)

Just want to find some good to eat in MK, so husband searched the info before going out, Magic Cafe is our final choice. It's full when we arrived, better that there is 1 table still left on the upstair - party room. Actually it's quite noisy as two large tables are around us, and many youngster just chic chat freely, but it's still acceptable. The wooden menu is just like a fairy tale, where got quite a lot of choices. Finally we choose the set for 2. Appetizer - goose liver stuffed duck breast salad, very nice - crab meat with avocado salad, it's tasteful but seems without crab meat soup - crab meat cream soup seems too milky, but husband thinks it's ok - lobster soup got the strong lobster taste, good main course - beef tenderlion with salmon provencal, both are ok, I never try the salmon provencal, usually I eat the pork one, it's a nice first try - goose liver with steak, ok as well, the steak is even better than the tenderlion, it's out of my expectation. Lastly, dessert - soft heart, it's ok but the choco is not very good, doesn't have the strong choco taste - apple pastry, ok, but the pastry can be better Generally, all the food are good, but still have improving area, somehow if the environment becomes better then it would be more worthy Recommended Dish(es):

The food was just fair and was served cold. We ordered tea sets. It costs $40. The juice tastes like water! The cake ... it was like a mouthful of sugar and nothing else. My friend wanted to order sandwich and they said it was sold out! Man, it was just 3pm! However, to be fair, the place is quite spacious and cozy for a quiet chat in MK. Just one week!! The price has been increased around 5-10%. I have agreed to that it is a worthy restaurant in MK; however, it is not the same situation any more after the price is increased. It is because the price and the quality of food is not equivalent. Their cooking skills of the set meals are so simple/easy that they shouldn't ask for more profit on the current basis. On the other hand, I ordered a chocolate cake, 'heart so soft', after a lunch-set last week. When the waiter presented the dessert to us, some melted chocolate was leaching out from the cake and he said that the dessert was so fresh that it was damaged easily and a pore was made after the cake had been done. His excuse was too irresponsible. I thought that it was unreasonable and unacceptable. Onone would like to have a broken heart!!
