It has been one of my favourite restaurants in Yuen Long
It was only two of us on that night but we've ordered alot The Sashimi Platter is the must try item, (I guess its around a hundred something but includes swordfish toro, squids, sea urchin, scallop, king prawn and jade spiral shells...they are so fresh and decilious...and its not pricy at all!! The portion is good to share for two as well =)
We also ordered the deep fired chicken soft bones, pan fired beef steaks, some sushi and oysters (oyster was just okay though). There are several Japs restaurants in Yuen Long, but I would say the overall food quality in this restaurant is good and worth while to try

My friend lives at Yuen long and strongly recommends to have dinner at this restaurant!

Actually before dinner i had a teppanyakki lunch at K11, i was so full and enjoyed so much the lunch at K11, so i didnt have any expectations and desires with YL sushi dinner (TST vs YL ~ you can imagine different standards between 2 areas) .. but unexpectedly the dinner turned out quite nice comparing price, food standard, ambience and service offered..

We arrived restaurant around 6.30 and found it was full like 95%, we waited for 15 mins for a corner table which was quiet, comfortable and good for chit chat.. seatings are quite spacious comparing with similar price point restaurants.. service is nice, quite relaxing .. waitresses were not running around, not hurry-scurry, absolutely no MK feels Since i had big teppanyakki lunch so we didnt order too much for sushi dinner but absolutely i will come back again to try out more foods!

1/ Eel sushi - Eel longs like a chopstick
It's tasty! Eel is juicy, tendered and the sauce is good, it's a must try item!

2/ Scallop sashimi - woo - big and thick like just buy it from Hokkaido (oh i feel i am a bit exaggerated but the fact is not too that far away... )
I guess scallop is like XL or XXL size, the scallop i had was a bit icy but not frozened so i felt it was so fresh it is amazed to see and eat this size scallop at YL and

3/ Salmon tummy with onion sushi
Another nice item, salmon tummy gives a bit oily feel as it's salmon tummy sashimi but when it goes witih onion .. oh.. to me it is good match but i know some might not agree as onion is not popular to everyone..

4/ Crab egg 蟹子 salad - ok lah
For 2 persons, small portion is good enough and it's still a big bowl. This is a Okay item. As we are Chinese, usually mother teaches us we need meat, fish and veggie in a dinner so i count this as a veggie .. the taste of salad all comes from mayonnaise and cucumbers were not very tasty, its taste is very very light ..

I will find a chance and some excuses to go YL because of this restaurant.. Nice! Because of price point i cannot see anywhere else can offer same good food quality and ambiance!

One day, I arranged a dinner gathering with my friends who they like to eat Japanese food. In Yuen Long, I gave been known this shop by my another friends. they said there has good comment and the ranking is No.1. Therefore I have decided to give it a try!!! But i needed to wait for over 30 minutes before i have come to book table in advance. however, l like there were so many choices of food to choose.

The sushi are very fresh and yummy that we only focus on the cold dishes. We really had a wonderful dinner and I sure that i will come to here to enjoy the food again!!

One of my friend's birthday today and since most of us live in Yuen Long and I am the one who arranged a dinner gathering and they mentioned that they prefer to eat Japanese food. I seldom know good places for Japanese shop in Yuen Long so I reach from Open Rice and learnt that this shop has good comment and the ranking is No.1. Therefore I have decided to give it a try!!! Although there were loads of people waiting outside but the waiting time was only around 15 minutes. There were so many choices of food to choose and we have decided to obtain some recommendation from a staff who is very helpful and gave us some comments.

I was surprised that the sushi are very fresh and yummy. We also ordered lots of hot stuff and those are all delicious too. I visited quite a number of shop and made comments in Open Rice for different places. However, I cannot control myself to take photos for all the food that we eat, right after the first one (cos we finished it quickly before and then I realised that I shall take photos and make comments here for people to visit).

We really had a wonderful dinner plus the services were alright! I will surely come to enjoy the food in Izumisake Japanese Restaurant again!!

We have become regular customers of this restaurant even though we live very faraway. Every time we come here, we only need to pay $1xx each to get in return a very satisfied stomach. Excellent value thats why we keep on returning!

Do not expect a short wait, comfortable seating, luxurious decor and fancy cuisine. Service is quite acceptable though, which is fairly attentive and efficient.

Portions are huge (I do mean HUGE) and the sashimi is usually very fresh.
My personal favourites are salmon sashimi, **unagi sushi** and crab roe salad with mango
Their tempura is good too though I am not a big fan.

Their hot dishes are not worth trying. We usually save our stomachs for sushi and sashimi.
