Good Service. Good for a late night drink and casual dining. If you don’t mind sitting at the sushi bar, there are spaces available even at a Saturday night. If you are picky about sashimi, then just stick to the cooked food. The atmosphere is a bit similar to the Hakkaisan at TST.

I was sitting in front of the sushi bar and I can see slabs of toro, hamachi and some other seafood which I can’t identify placed inside a fridge. I think those slabs of fish were prepared in advance as I saw the chief cutting up a whole tuna in front of me when I couldn’t see any customers around me.

We ordered the following:

Standard Sashimi Set:

- Uni;
- Hamachi;
- Maguro/ Akami (Tuna);
- Salmon;
- Scallop;
- Scrimp;
- Fish Roe and Uni.

Anogo Sushi: Anago (Eel), Fish Roe, Uni and Minced Tuna.

Mixed Tempura

Motsu (“Stewed Pork Intestine”)

1.5 bottles of Sake

1.The appetizer was free: Two pieces of taro with some vegetable and mentaiko (fish roe). This was quite tasty.
2.Then came the sashimi set. The Salmon, Scallop, Uni are good but the Hamachi, Maguro and Scrimp are so-so. The Fish Roe is too sweet and some of them are dried (?)
3.The Anago Sushi is ok but the Minced Tuna is not fresh at all.
4.The Motsu (stewed with miso sauce, carrots and gobo) was quite good.
5.It took a while for the tempura set to arrive. The batter is not the “fluffy” style But it’s quite good. The shrimps and the veggies were all tasty.

The sushi chief seemed a bit frustrated with his work. I can hear swear words when he was speaking with the other chief.
It's a bit smokey as well. Definitely not for romantic dinners but fine for casual dining.

The drinks were a bit pricey though. The whole dinner came down to more than HK$1,400

Might come back again to try out other cooked food.

Went to this place because Sushi Hiro was full, and I must say it was a good surprise!! There was some promotion and we ordered a big sashimi combo for only $4XX and the sashimi was fresh with good varieties. Other hot plates were not bad. Service was fair and environment was comfortably casual. Will definitely come again.

saw the 'special promotion' on openrice lastnite and so we decided to go for dinner tonite...

we ordered a 'assorted sashimi'....its SUPER YUMYUM...its onli half of da orginial price as it on special promotion..EXCELLENT..we also had soup, salad, soba...

Surf on Openrice for nice Jap food for my sister birthday. And read the promotion of this restaurant, it seemed nice. So we decided to give it a try.
Maybe it's Tue night, the restaurant wasn't full. We ordered
1.) Assorted Deluxe Sashimi ( good..and fresh)
2.) Assorted Deluxe Sushi ( good and fresh)
3.) BBQ Beef tongue ( just so so..)
4.) House seafood salad ( quite fresh)
5.) Beef Pot ( it's ok, just a bit sweet)
6.) Soft crab roll ( not bad..)
7.) Stir fried mixed vegetables ( so so)
and 2 more snacks.

Sashimi and Sushi were good. Very fresh and it's worth for money.
The bill was about $1400.
Overall, the dinner was good except 2 things:
1.) They charged us $25 per person for the small dish... since we have 5 ppl. So we were charged $125....

2.) The attitude of waitresses were good. EXCEPT the Manager....
Since that's our first visit, my friend just casually asked if there's any credit card promotion. Unexpectedly, the manager said, " It's already cheap, half price on Sashimi & Sushi. After all, the bill is only $1400, it's very cheap, isn't it". We were so angry with his rudeness. He really ruined our mood.
I'll def. give a high score to this restaurant if the manager serve their customer better.

i mostly go to sushi hiro in this building but this time is different. cuz hiro was full so just decide to go to dokoro matsudo when i arrived the lobby of the building.

i tried 魚生飯, it is quite good. assorted seafood, like sweet shrimp, scallop, tuna, salmon,is already seasoned so you dun need to dip any soya sauce or wasabi. the fish roe is as fresh as i had in tsukiji fish market.

the price is slightly cheaper than hiro. but actually the quality of hiro is declining so this is another option for jp food in tst for lunch.

however, the service is kind of bad cuz missing orders happened and the waitress manner is like local tea restaurant, they just put the tray on the table and walk away.

it is definitely rare to see this kind of service in jp restaurant. i dun think people can accept this kind of service for the price, especially in dinner time.

BAD EXPERIENCE, i went there for a sushi all you can eat last sunday night (24/6)

they are serving all you can eat sushi set at $280/ea.

sushi quality is worse than those order as normal, esp salmon is very ugly!

we have been waiting for 45mins for the 1st dish of sushi to come; and the 2nd dish waited for 30mins. We all become very angry and annoyed to keep waiting, even the shop didn't have much customers!

never go there to try again!
