This is the first time I post comments in public about a shop....

I went to buy a mango Napoleon for my mom since this is her favourite dessert. As soon as I walked into the shop, I was already dumbfounded by the response I received from a long hair woman. The way she presented herself in front of a prospective customer was quite unique, or should i say she is just plain rude!!! 😡😡😡 Is she the boss or just an employee? either way, this is a disaster as her rowdy behavior worked pretty well in driving customers away. 😡😡😡😡😡 This is not the way to do business and I don't see any reason why I have to pay her $30 for a cake. It was such a humiliation and i will surely not going to recommend this shop to anyone!!!!

the person that pick up the phone needs to learn some basic manners.
you'll assume that saying "bye" before hanging up the phone on ppl is just basic mannerism for a city like Hong Kong.

I called to order 2 full sizes napoleons, I asked for the actual measurements for the full size cake, i need to make sure it'll be enough for 30 ppl.
the person that picked up the phone b!tched back that they only sell by pieces now and it's 30-31 dollars so it'll cost me HKD930 for 30 pieces.

HKD930 for a napoleon birthday cake for 30 ppl.
and they can't even deliver to just 2 streets down from their shop in Tin Hou.
give me a break.

Not just the overwhelming price, but their sh!t attitude is enough to drive my business to else where.
Amigo, Agnes B all do an amazing napoleon for a quarter of their price.
Such a rip off.

people who delivered the cakes were helpful and well mannered

The sales lady, I assume she might be the owner, is really impolite, bad face, not helpful etc. The poorest service I have even seen. It seems that I am begging for her cake and not paying for it.......interesting.

Tried the Mango Napoleon . Mango is always my favourite! The puff pastry was still crispy even after a long way from Tin Hau to Mong Kok. The custard cream was not too heavy , just quite slightly sweetened !

because this was birthday cakes from my friend , i dont really know about the environment , price n service . Overall, I would say I loved it anyway!

Mimosa Patisserie is famous in HK for it's mille-feuille/Napoleon. I never quite liked it, but every now and then I buy things I never quite liked just to see if my tastes have changed, or their recipe has changed. Well, no change in opinion this time. Although slightly less dense than other patisseries in town, which is good, the pâte feuilletée is underbaked for my tastes. It's also extremely weak in the butter department.The bottom layer of pâte was thicker than the top two layers. I don't know if this was on purpose, but it could be to serve as structural support. and prevent everything from weighing and crushing the bottom. Or I could be overthinking.I didn't like how the pâte was coated in white chocolate, as it made the whole thing too sweet. It was quite a thick layer of chocolate, too. I understand that it helps to keep the pâte from going soggy, but perhaps baking the pâte a bit more would help. I'm not sure though, as I'm not that good of a baker. I do appreciate the generosity of custard and mangoes. However, like the pâte, the custard was a bit lacking in taste. It didn't have any vanilla seeds, and neither did it taste eggy. So mango really was the dominant taste in this pastry.

I did like how it was so big (well, normal sized rather than pinky sized) compared to most other patisseries'. I also like how, due to the lack of butter and heavy custard, it wasn't too filling even after such a big piece. Don't know when's the next time I'll be challenging myself with having another one though. Sad that I don't have a go-to place for mille feuilles in Hong Kong...suggestions VERY welcome.

I've the same experience as 小肥童 several months ago。I arrived at 6:30pm and the Napoleon was out of stock at that time. The "lady" told me cake will be available at 7:00pm. I asked if she can reserve 2 pcs for me and I promise to return at 7pm. Her answer is NO because they do not accept short notice order. I left immediately witout looking back.

I see no reason to return again. Plenty of choices everywhere!

As following the suggestions, I tried out the Mango Napoleon first time here and really it tasted delicious. The fillings were full of fruit and custard and he napoleon was also really crispy. I would definitely recommend this and go again (I still need to taste the strawberry one!) It was also worth the 30 dollars to buy this!

Also, the shopkeeper lady was actually not that bad tempered and impatient and I reckon she was quite polite, she said thank you to me afterwards and answered my questions...

MANGO NAPOLEAN CAKE x 6 pieces.
Crispy layers, smooth custard, fresh mangos.
Most importantly, the SWEETNESS is perfect.

Last year when I had this cake, it was way toooo sweet!

THIS TIME, PERFECT. great improvement!

Definitely will recommend this to anyone!

Mango Napoleon
taste quite good, although more fruity will be better.
made too thick. it's better to keep the overall height < 2 cm... easier to put into mouth, there is no need to make so big.
price is very low for the overall quality. ($23)

not taste yet, but the outlook is not attractive.
