It was a cold night and my friend and I really wanted hotpot. The place we originally wanted to go to was completely booked, so we thought it would be nice to go to Little Sheep. Since it's a part of a well known restaurant chain, we thought the quality would be decent or at least above average. But boy were we wrong! We were seated immediately. Their seating is a bit weird-- tables seem really close to each other and we were wayy too close to the people at the next table. The two of us decided to go for the all-you-can eat deal, which comes with a complimentary order of lamb meat. After placing our order, they set us up with our soup and quickly served the complimentary dish. We loved the lamb and were looking forward to the other items we ordered. ...unfortunately, nothing came. We thought that it might have just been a somewhat busy time for them, so we patiently waited. About 30-40 minutes in, we just could not wait anymore. The all-you-can-eat set is for two hours, and they had almost wasted half of our time! We asked one of the servers and she asked us to point out who had taken our order form. How did she expect us to remember?!? So, we ended up reordering and finishing up our lamb dish while waiting for the food to arrive. In less than five minutes, EVERYTHING comes out. If we had known that it would have been so quick, we would have definitely asked them about our order sooner! Despite losing our order and making us wait, none of their servers bothered apologizing to us or offered to compensate our wait time. Well, the food arrived and by that point we were incredibly hungry and could have eaten anything. But, we were disappointed by the quality of the food. Nothing tasted fresh-- I probably would have been better off with getting something from the frozen section of a supermarket and hotpotting at home. Also, we had ordered the bottomless sugar cane juice. The drink was way too sweet and seemed like they had just used a powdered mix. The more we drank it, the thirstier we got (and of course, the MSG from the soup did not help at all). I have to say- for this "award winning" restaurant, I am incredibly disappointed and I will be sure not to eat here again.

Had lunch (dimsum buffet) on Saturday with my family and my sister who is visiting HK. We had the afternoon buffet dimsum which starts at 2pm. For a public listed company, the operations is very unorganized and in total disarray. I have been to their China stores in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Xiamen, which are more properly managed and better service. The food: Overall, food quality and taste is Low to standard with most of the food too salty for our taste. And the service is awful and terrible. I won't probably be back to the HK stores if I can help it. Recommended Dish(es):

it was an "all you can eat" dinner. we ordered some meat balls/vegetables/mushrooms/other meats... putting them into the hot soups and cooking by ourself. they provided some beers/softdrinks/herb tea(?) ("all you can drink") with the meal. we just needed to pay an extra $13 (hope i don't make a mistake here) for getting the "all you can drink". the restaurant gave us one extra dish of meat that we didn't order. it looks big in portion. well.. i think i like the food and the soup.. both spicy or not spicy! it was around $200 or something per head? I always book when going to a restaurant and as usual it's 0 waiting time ;) For both TST, Mong Kok and Causeway Bay. The buffet option sucks- waiting time and chasing for food is unbelievable and portions are tiny no matter how many portions of an item you put. However, it's generally ok to order individually though and not buffet option! You still get good quality, decent portions and quick delivery ;) I prefer Causeway Bay Branch for the a la carte option and not buffet option. MK and TST I've only tried the buffet option and it's not good. Recommended Dish(es):

I will never go to this restaurant chain again. If you want to have a good hotpot in Hong Kong, there are plenty of restaurants to try (if you like some recommendations you can personal message me, I don't wnat to be seen to be advertising for other ones). The list of complaints: (a) When we arrived, we had 6 person discuss whether to take the $150 "all you can eat" or order a la carte. we told the waiter that 5 of us will start at 8pm, and the 6th person can only arrive at 9pm. is it OK for another 15 or 20 minutes? the waiter said the limit is 2 hours only, must finish by 10pm. (b) We ordered 2bottle of Asahi Beer for $25 each. After opening, another waiter asked "why dont we take the all-you-can-drink option for $20 per person. but we said the 1st waiter did not tell us this option, and can we change back to this choice. but they said no, cannot cancel the Asahi, they must charge for it. (c) we placed the order for food at 8pm sharp. the chicken does not arrive until 845pm. the Beef, did not come for a long time and we complain 3 times to waiter. it isnt until we complain to the restaurant manager, that we get 2 dish of Beef. the time is already 9pm, 1 hour after. they initiatlly claim that we didnt tick the box on the all-you-can-eat ordering sheet. but we ask to bring out the ordering-sheet for verification, but then they said they lost it. their next excuse is that they need to "CUT" the beef. i do not believe it take 1 hour to cut up some beef at a hotpot restaurant. i have been to some good and some bad restuarants in HK recently. i will not come back to this place even if they give me $200 cash back to me. This is a famous chain on hot pot places. I’m not the biggest fan of hot pot, I think its good, I just don’t love it, so you’ll almost never find me choosing to go to a hot pot place and this was no different. Same dude that picked Tsui Hang Village wanted to come here. I’ve been here before, its very nice for a hot pot place and was jam packed (1 hour wait). We got the half spicy and half non-spicy, the spicy broth was more spicy than I remember it being (some people at the table couldn’t really take it). The ingredients were fresh and everything was fine, but there’s just not that much to it, its just hot pot and again I wasn’t wow’d by it (I’ve only been wow’d by it once in Chengdu, China)

Went to try their Dim Sum buffet, $55 per person plus 10% service charge and tea. Their Dim Sum range includes all the basics you can eat in any restaurant, such as the Prawn Hargau, Various rice rolls, Beef balls, chicken feet, dessert, and their Mongolian dishes. I was surprised most of their dishes were satisfactory, the Har Gau was wrapped more like the Mongolian dumplings/Italian tortellini. The dishes that let it down were the beef balls, and lamb dumplings. The beef balls were very red, either caused by soda powder or being uncooked. The lamb dumplings were the worst, it tasted so foul, I wanted to puke after taking one bite.

swcline (Non-member) | The food was better than I expected in terms of cost that included the soup. The presentation of the seafood with ice looks fresh. We heard the dim sum here is good and value-for-money and we finally got a chance to visit today. It was pretty good, far better than the other 2 restaurants we have been to recently. The decor is new and the restaurant is spacious; we were given a very comfortable chairs ... Service was not that bad as described by the others. All the foods and dim sums were OK - we tried some delicious Mongolio dim sum like bakery and cakes, we also tried Cantonese dim sums - it was really value for money, for their efforts and attention

It should be the 3rd and the 4th times visiting this shop. I have very good comments for this shop when the first time I visited this shop a few years ago. Unluckily, both the quality of the food and the services become worser and worser (not sure whether they had reduced the price) There were a total of 8 (including) to have a dinner in this shop last Sunday. I would say it makes no different between this shop and other hotpot shop (including the food qaulity and the service quality). This does not imply that I'll bad mouth this shop. If I were given a choice between this shop and other hotpot shop, I'll not choose this one for my next dinner.
