I am an habitue to Sham Shui Po an its environs since my formative year as a secondary school students, and this cake shop is definitely my senior although I've never patronized her until yesterday.
I intended to try on as many types of cakes as possible so I bought each type by the minimum amout possible, the lady serving me is enthusiastic and did not feel trouble by the dicerning attitude.
At the end I purchased two almond cakes, three walnut cakes, and one lo por cake, they were all I could take in one time as an afternoon tea with a bottle of coconut juice also purchased nearby

They are all made of quite a discernible amout of lard which is often what traditional chinese cakes is about I think! The almond cake was chewy, not a common description of cakes although, it best described the texture of these artificially yellow coloured cakes in my mouth, the favour of almond was intense which was a good sign, but don't expect them to be anything in comparison with the "Macau souvenirs". The walnut cakes was much better in texture, extremely crumbly and dissolved almost spontaneously in my mouth, with an intense favour of lard and walnut in a nice mix, an extremely ambivalent feeling fpr me to tell the truth! Finally the lo por cake was the largest one I bought that day, it was less sweet and the baked crust less crumbly than those in Yuen Long, it tasted alright.
Supplementary Information
Three small plastic bags for three types of cakes, it might be convenient for them to reckon up the sum for each customer but very environmental unfriendly at the same time. On the other hand, some cakes was left uncovered in the street with a lot of pedestrians and vehicals passing by. In a nutshell, my decision to buy in small quantities was a well vindicated one!
