The name of the dish on the menu has changed: I remember it being 'double scum' (versus two film; now). Still the same dish, and still tastes great (I was actually intrigued (by the name) enough to order the first time).

It is essentially a milk pudding with a coating of a sheet of coagulated protein ('scum') atop it. It is actually a very pleasant dish - both light and sweet for the pudding.

The fact that many are keen to avoid 'scum' is questioned by this dish; for the scum actually gives an extra texture to a pudding which would otherwise have but one. This gives an additional textural variety to a pudding which is both invigorating and tasty.

It is so cheap (for us as we're from australia).

$25 for a bowl. Soft and silky. Good enough for the price that you're paying. I would eat this anytime compared to any expensive restaurants that sells the same things.

Ginger Milk pudding: Very soft, smooth, and the sweetness is just right (rating:8/10)

Double milk pudding: Good texture but I didn't really like the (baby milk powder flavour). My partner liked it though. (rating: 6/10)

However please be carefull when you eat this... every mouthfull is so damn HOT! please don't burn your mouth, as the heat does maintain stays pretty hot whilst its in the bowl and to your mouth.

The hectic Yee Shun Dairy Company has always been famous for their employee's 'efficiency'. As soon as you have finished your last spoon of your dessert, they are already standing next to you, all ready up to collect your finished bowl. Pretty impressive for Yee Shun, I would want these kind of empoyees to work for me too if I have a fast food restaurant of my own. Might this rapid service put pressure on customer and hurt their profit? The growing crowd of customers rushing in to try Yee Shun's renowned stewed milk has proved no obstacles as Yee Shun's stewed milk is truely amazing.

1) Stewed Milk With Ginger(薑汁燉奶)
I always like having Stewed Milk with Ginger in Yee Shun, it tastes best especially in winter when it is cold. Yee Shun's stewed milk with ginger is extremely smoothed and has a mild milk and ginger flavor. I love how it melts in your mouth, smoothes along your throat, into the stomach and warms up the body gradually with the ginger in it. Yet its texture is not as thick as Double Stewed Milk, kinda more liquified as ginger sugary water was added to it, thus it is less smooth and does not contains as much milk flavor as the Double Stewed milk does.

2) Double Stewed Milk(雙皮燉奶)
It is always a difficult choice to choose between Double Stewed Milk and Stewed Milk with Ginger. One could say the only difference might only be the extra layer of milk on top, but that is the most addictive part of the Double Stewed Milk that everyone loves and thus making the hard choice. Thus the golden rule is always bring someone along with you to share more desserts(and fats)!

The Double Stewed Milk has the strongest milk flavor among all its product and its smoothness is uncomparable. The texture is the thickest as no additional ingredients are added to it. A point to note is that the Double Stewed Milk is very filling, so one might not be able to finish the whole bowl if you have it right after your big meal.
