Went to the noodles shop today. the noodles is very good. I tried the noodles before in Guilin, the shop taste is the same as the in Guilin 桂林. Sour, Salty and Sweet at the same time. The price is very reasonable. Only the service is bad and the place is very dirty. But the soup is very tasty. Hope that they can improve the look of the place.

Seems like I only eat at cheapies! Well lets face it, with the stock market heading downward everyday, one really have to think twice before ordering that Toro Sashimi or....Hairy Crab....Right? This noodle shop is very plain. Only a few folding tables and some stools. Nothing fancy. Two of us ordered following: Rice noodle with beef brisket and pig knuckle ($21) Rice noodle with mixed marinated meat ($18) The noodles were served in a very delicious chicken brooth (MSG free!). Both the beef brisket and pig knickle have been braised long enough that it was very tendered and tasty. Included in the mixed marinated meat were tripe, pork tongue and ox calf. The tripe was a bit chewy and not much flavour. But the tongue and the calf were good. As for the noodle, I found it a bit too well cooked. Can be more al dente. With every order of noodle comes a free drink. Can choose between soy milk and plum "soup". We had both. Nothing special with the drink, but hey, it is free. I think this place offer reasonably good food and great value (some noodles only cost $12 after 2pm!). I shall return for more.
