This place made me register to Openrice.
I am a korean who grew up in korea/canada.
beef selections - we ordered two types. in the menu, looked well marbled.
first one came out, all frozen and it was obviously not the parts of cow we ordered. we complained, and got a response saying this is the best quality beef. I seriously wondered... why would anyone freeze the best quality beef...
the second dish came out, all frozen and discoloration evenly cross all cut parts to black. we complained and another round of reponse that this parts of cow is normally beef as it is the best quality beef from Canada. I've never seen blackened RED MEAT from canada while i lived in canada.. as we were complaining, the manager or whoever was talking to us, called the korean owner, put the phone to us. the owner was telling us we dont know much about meat and this place only serves the best quality meat. and order cant be cancelled as it just got cut as we ordered. I wonder, if the whole chunk of meat were frozen then cut just before being served to us, how can this discoloration be so evenly done and how it is all frozen. the cut part should have more pink/red color than outside where its most oxidized...
We got yelled at by the owner over the phone, which was absurd. The quality of the food was terrible and we complained, the response we got was more than ridiculous. Staff were rude and owner was insulting. I wonder if the owner would ever eat the meat there. Never going back ever. I see restaurant was full of HK locals, i hope they dont grade korean bbq from this place alone.
