It was raining cats and dogs today and we bumped into this restaurant for an early dinner just to avoid the rainstorm. We ordered Thai style beef salad and Nasi Goreng...the beef was so tender that I just did not feel like I was eating beef...the taste was just not "beefy" nor "meaty"...seemed like they hv added a handful of baking powder into it!!! As for the Nasi Goreng...I thought I was just having some yucky Chinatown style fried rice with soy sauce. The taste was just not right. The service was bad too...my hubby noticed that one of the waiters kept putting his fingers into his mouth -- and picking his teeth with a bare hand!!!! My hubby nearly wanted to leave the shop immediately! It was awful...you just did not expect such terrible service in a nicely decorated restaurant by the seaside! This kind of experience was just too much to have it twice in your lifetime... Other Ratings: Taste 2 | Environment 3 | Service 1 | Hygiene 1 | Value for Money 2

食家38 (Non-member) | I'd invited my friends plus a child to go for a lunch in Stanley. We found that the price of set lunch menu was particularly cheaper, compared with the others. Therefore, we 'd chosen 2 portions of "THAI STYLE STIR-FRIED NOODLES WITH BEAN CURD & PRAWNS", 3 portions of CLASSIC LAMB DELICACY FROM KASHMIR IN ONION & RED PEPPER SAUCE" plus GREAMY PORK ESCALOPES WITH MUSHROOM SERVED WITH LINGUNIE". We're shocked while the dishes were serving... the prawns of the fried noodles were too small, smaller than 30-40 in size; Those lamb cubes in Lamb Curry were quite small in size and portion, just only 3 pieces and 1.5cm in average length. Come on! I was enjoying the lamb curry, not the curry with the accompianiments...The pork escalopes is definitely thinned, but it should not be described as "Pork Chop" in chinese. However, most of the customer who may not familiar with the terms of "escalope" and fell it "You Cheat your customers!". Besides, we found that the other items like the 'FISH & CHIPS' was definitely unacceptable. Those fried fishes were too small in size and portion. Don't forget the fish is the "MAIN ACTOR"; In London, you can spend 4-6 pounds to enjoy the whole fried fish with chip. But you...nothing to say. I can't imagine how to serve the foreign customer who expected your food is certainly satisfied in Hong Kong. But the result is...Be aware of the word of mouths. Spending per head: Approximately HKD90 Other Ratings: Taste 1 | Environment 3 | Service 2 | Hygiene 3 | Value for Money 1
