Thanks to a friend's referral, I got the chance to try the products showcased at Delifrance Hong Kong Wholesale Ltd at HOFEX.

Previously I disliked Delifrance in Hong Kong because it does not taste the same as the Delifrance in UK.

In UK, there are no Delifrance restaurants or Cafes because Delifrance products are bought from supermarkets or as frozen goods from the chilled section.

At the Delifrance Hong Kong Wholesale booth, I was told that most of the products served in Delifrance restaurants are locally made, hence the difference in taste.

The products I tried at this showcase were different and authentic just like the bakeries in Europe, so I tried as many pastries as I could to my hearts content even though I had a tasting afterwards.

Delifrance HK Wholesale imports Viennoiserie, bread, savoury, pastry and retail products and they use healthy ingredients for their bakeries.

I loved the frozen ready to eat boxed cakes shown above.

They look better out of the packaging shown in the cabinet below.

Beneath the cakes, there were these huge macarons on the right, cute Baby Choux range and the Baby Eclairs on the left.

    Sundried tomato puff:
Initially I thought it was salmon because of the orange colour but it was tomato flavoured and really nice.
    ★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
    Spinach and cheese puff:
The spinach and cheese puff was filled with generous spinach puree and ricotta cheese contrasted by the lovely puff pastry.
    ★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
    Mille Feuille:

    My favourite childhood dessert!
The icing was not too sweet nor was the custard cream which was great.
The mille feuille layers were flaky and light.
    ★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
    Chocolate eclair:

Again another perfect eclair because the chocolate icing was silky and smooth.
The chocolate filling was rich and not too heavy.
    ★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
    Macaron:

They had these huge macarons which I did not try, but I tried the regular sized ones which were nice because they were not too sweet.

Overall I enjoyed all their products and I would have tried more if I did not have a tasting afterwards because there is another choice for authentic pastries in Hong Kong as well as La Rose Noir!

Have short-course around this area, good time to start new restaurant at the moment with group-tickets, so we try the mushroom (veg) & salmon spagetti with a cup of coffee & lemon-tea.
Time is fast after we know this new place for over a month, as we pop-up around 7:00pm, surprise to found not much customers here though I had bypass another old one near the corner of Glouester Road.
Service is good even we present the group-ticket, we can read newspaper with beautiful music & chating, then the meal come within 10 mins, we have not enough time to eat dessert, the taste of the sauce is not bad, but the dish of salmon could be more hot than we expected. Coffee is not good enough so I leave the other half before I go.
    Supplementary Information:
Good place for chating & relaxe with reading, but wash, sweep , mop the dust & floor during the meal time, no good !!

Sunny bakery used to be the only bakery on Lockhart Road, now there is another one.

I don't usually buy from Delifrance because the bakery is localised but decided to get some croissants to spread some Pate on it.

Anyway the croissant was $9 and because Delifrance is celebrating its opening, there was a free Croissant with every purchase.

    See picture:
Croissant on the right was the free one.

Anyway I ate the free croissant first.
The free one was crispier and I knew it was the free one because the one I was picked was soft.
I was a bit shocked because it was savoury and it was sweet as well.
After I finished it, I ate the soft one that I bought, it was also savoury with some sweetness as well but not as sweet as the complimentary one.

Luckily it was buy one get one free because it worked out cheaper per croissant.
I doubt I would get their croissants again because they are localised and taste sweet.

This delifrance branch has a limited range on the ground floor and the full range is served upstairs.
