I ordered some chicken masala, naan and milk tea masala. At first they brought some crackers, I started to be afraid that it's supposed to be the naan. Luckily it was just an appetizer. The actual naan they had was good, soft and bubbly. The meal itself also. Will be going back.

Rose soda: this came out fluorescent pink, but besides the obvious artificial colour, tasted good.
Masala tea (chai): tastes home-made. creamy, and spicy. very satisfying. ordered a second one.
Veggie Pakora: this was heavy on the fried batter, but the inside was delicious large pieces of fresh veggies. i am used to sliced mixed veggies, but the whole pieces were equally good.
Chicken tikka: the chicken was mostly dark meat (which was disappointing for us, but may be something others like), but moist.
Chicken tikka masala: the masala sauce was good-creamy, well spiced, although we didn't think to order it spicy enough--it might have been better this way.
Gulab Jamun: too soft. i prefer when i can bite into it rather than it just dissolving in my mouth.
Ice cream (Malai Kulfi): this came to the table and all of a sudden there was an overwhelming aroma of something like Lysol. it might have been the rose water? i don't know--it just tasted very perfumey. the texture was also inexplicably gritty.
mint chutney: DELICIOUS
tamarind chutney: DELICIOUS
Butter naan: very doughy, not crispy, no discernible butter. but a large portion which would have been a plus if it was better naan.
Atmosphere: we walked in to the restaurant and it looked like a windowless cave with fluorescent blue mood lighting. and it smelled like a dirty public restroom. not a good first impression. (to get there you either have to go up a cramped service elevator or a frighteningly dirty stairwell). but, when we first arrived at the mansion, we were greeted at the door with the restaurant promoters who led the way through the maze up to the elevator which was helpful.
Service: we arrived shortly after 6pm and there was a table right away. service was prompt and friendly. there seemed to be a ratio of one waiter per table so it appeared bustling especially for the small size of the place.

Overall, the meal and atmosphere were disappointing. But the chai is something I would come back for if I was in the area, and the chutneys would make me want to order the samosas next time to eat them with.

Tonight I dined with Andy and Agnes and tried the Indian food in Chungking Mansions. I got here for the second time.

We firstly ordered some hot curry dishes with two set of Indian pizzas. The South-Asian waiter hereof appeared to like Agnes very much. But, please don't forget we are here.

Overall, the curry dishes involving chicken, fishes and mutton were really delicious depsite few savor on spicy. We could further enjoy it while eating together with Indian pizza. The sauce was quite strong but the meat thereat was seemed to be overcooked and thus not soft enough. The fried rice was spicier than I expected but tasted good. I had to drink 2 more cups of water to relieve myself.

Finally, Agnes ordered the fried milk ball for dessert which I forgot the exact name due to no English translation but Urdu I guessed. The dessert was over sweet depsite 15 dollars only. I could say it the name was better than the taste.

By the way, Andy said the appetite (crisp pizza) was spiciest and asked me for savouring it. I said no thank you.

The meal was cost us $416 in total.

I have read many reviews about this place. Good food but hard to get there. Chung Hing Mansion is like a maze.
Not any more. We went there and asked for Delho Club and there was a guy led us to the elevator. No problme at all. Don't try to look for it yourself unless you know the place.

We got there and sat down. It was around lunch hour on a week day. We ordered "Mixed Grill", "Naan", "Masala tea" , "Mixed veggie" & "Garam".
The dish that we ordered did not come at the same time and that is good. We had time to savour each dish. Wow! One is better than the other.
The presentation of mixed grill was heavenly. It taseted great too. The Naan was tasty. Oh the Masala tea simply the perfect match to our lunch. The spice, the heat simply swept me onto cloud nine.

The bill came to 200 dollars and this is bot expensive at all. We have had many Indian food before in different countries and all over HK. This is one of the best. Don't miss!

I had lunch here with my wife. It was our first experience dining in the Chungking Mansions. We ordered:

2 Vegetable Samosas, Mutton Rogan Josh, Chicken Vindaloo, rice, and Garlic Naan. Plus some beer and a mango lassi. I've heard that some of the restaurants in the Mansions are byob, but this one apparently isn't. Good for us, because we didn't bring any beer.

The pappadoms were tasty and came with this white sauce. I had no idea what the sauce was, but it was great, and I put it on my samosas too. 8/10

The samosas were small, but I liked that fact. I usually can't eat much of my meal when the appetizer portions are huge. They were really good, but needed some mint chutney or something to balance the flavor. 7/10

Equally good was the Naan. It was thick and bready, not too cooked, nicely chewy, great for sopping up sauce, greasy like it should be but not too greasy. 8/10

I had the Chicken Vindaloo and I asked for it "very spicy". It was decently spicy, but not "very". Maybe if I weren't white, they'd have given me serious spice. There was a handful of pieces of chicken and a few potato chunks. Not alot, but I'm not a huge eater. The chicken was tender but not fall-apart tender; the potatoes likewise were cooked enough, but not as tender as they could be. The curry itself was uniform in texture, not chunky. And although it was hot like vindaloo should be, there wasn't much of a vinegar flavor. 6/10

I didn't have much of my wife's Rogan Josh. It was similar in its texturelessness, and the medium tenderness of the mutton. And it wasn't very spicy. 5/10?

My wife gave the mango lassi a 7/10. You can tell how good the beer I had was by going to the store, buying a bottle of Kingfisher, and drinking it.

Overall the place seemed more British Indian than Indian Indian, and served mostly the basic British Curry House selections (though I've never been to Britain). If you're looking for authentic, this is probably not the place, but if you're looking for good and cheap, I give it a 6/10.

We didn't have to wait for a long time before being seated which was great.

Once we sat down and ordered the food. The samosas came first and then the rest of the food didn't come until 25 mins later.

We were pretty hungry then. Anyway, the samosas were small but the taste was OK. The chicken biryani was pretty good but the rogan josh was just average and not worth the price at all. There were only about 8 tiny pieces of lamb. And they charged it for $60 or $65. Is that a joke?

This place just got too popular and the food is not good anymore. We also had keema naan and mango lassi. We didn't enjoy the meal honestly. The service wasn't so friendly either.

Will we go back? We don't think so.

the chicken was very dry and poor taste, (unlike the one I ate in a local restaurant in Delhi-India few years ago).

Spent $103 for one person as dinner.
I consider it was expensive due to poor food quality.
Will not go again.....

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of food in this restaurant. It is always a bit intimidating going for indian food in the Chungking Mansion as people hassle you and I have had a few meals that were not tasty and the winding staircases as a bit frightening.
I ordered the Chicken Tikka Massala and original Naan and it was by far the best Indian food I have had in Hong Kong. The service was also fantastic for having no service charge. The restaurant is a bit noisy but clean and not overly cramped and best yet the food is also verrry cheap.

We ordered a variety of dishes and everyone loved their meal.
Definitely return to this restaurant in the near future.

Deihi Club located in TST it is very accessable, but you may hard to get into Chungking Mansions there are lots poeple around you and promote their restaurants but that is an unforgettable experience.
When you get inside, the security will ask you. where do you, so you say DEIHI CLUB, they arrange someone to lead you to get there.
The decoration of this restaurant are not so good with darkness blue light but it have much indian cultural atmosphere in there.
Their service are nice, they all having a nice attuidue to serve their customers!!

After shopping around in TST a friend and I decided to come here for dinner. We had previously visited once before and had a good first impression.

We finally decided to order samosas (veggie), a lamb korma, garlic naan, roti, prawn vindaloo.

First arrived were the papadums, which I remember I loved from the last visit. It is crisp and went well with the sauces on the table (mint yogurt and tomato-chili).
next were the samosas which tasted as expected, nothing special.

The breads and the curries arrived.This is my first time having a korma curry, and it was very light in colour (cream white?) as well as a thick and creamy body. The taste was very light and not spicy at all. There was a hint of coconut I think, which went well with the subtle spices in the dish. The mutton was surprisingly tender and lean!

The vindaloo was a light redish/orange colour, and had the same thickness as the korma but the taste was spicy! I mean really really spicy. I had asked for less spicy when I ordered (thank god) but it was still too spicy for me.....But i have to say i do like to have really hot foods in cold weather....plus the roti/naan helped with soothing the spicyness.... I wonder if it would taste better if I had ordered pulao rice or something?

Even though my mouth was burning by the end of dinner, i enjoyed the meal!
