    Turkey dinner; Scrooged Tea
    Turkey dinner; Scrooged Tea

The turkey dinner did look appealing and a reasonable value (I actually am fond of turkey).

With the exception of the tomato (the use of which was unclear -- was this a self-contained salad?), and the stuffing, this was a nice meal. The stuffing, unfortunately, really destroyed it for me. And,I think it was poor culinary planning: As it was not so bad by itself; but in combination it was ....in a word....disturbing.

Potatoes were good. The lingenberry (cranberry-like) and gravy were both rich and flavourful. The turkey was also quite nice and was very well complimented by both the richness of the gravy and the zest of the ~berry sauce.

However, the stuffing did not mix so well. When added to the turkey+sauces, the taste was rather disturbingly like e.coli smells. Now: I do trust that the food was properly cooked; and I am not about to suggest that I will become ill (still have up to 4 more days to confirm, though) -- but the combination of flavours/spices was strongly reminiscent of that sort of smell (remember the taste and smell are linked in the brain). After cleansing the palate a bit, the stuffing did not present so strongly. So, it was likely the combination of flavours for me. If any of the chefs are reading this, please check out the combinations and make the ingredients harmonize with one another.

The tea was disappointing for one reason: The cheap brand of bag used. This was evident in the length of time needed to steep; as well as the taste. Also, in a free-refills establishment, it was clear that those who take coffee were getting a much better bargain.

But the meal, itself, appears to offer good value.
    Supplementary Information:
Because of the queues, my served hot meal presented as lukewarm at the table. I ought to try this outside the busy time!!!

Disregard the rating for service in the case of this restaurant: You do it all yourself (except for serving of hot foods).

i was quite surprised by its popularity on openrice. that's why i decided to go there to see why it had so many positive ratings.

well, the restaurant is a mecca for OLs and families. even though i arrived after lunch hour, the place was packed with countless people.
this was the first time i visited this restaurant after its renovation. and well, i was satisfied. the food quality was up to scratch and the prices were amazingly low. the environment is good as well, though the place was unbelievably crowded. well, if u want a cozy and plush dining place, this one doesnt suit u; but if u want to fill ur stomach without paying a lot of $$, this place will be ur cup of tea.

well well well. for food. i ordered swedish meat balls, salmon spaghetti and fried chicken wings.
for meat balls, they were very swedish== and savoury. it was good but not very good. but i quite appreciate that the meat juice was there.
the spaghetti was great. It costs only 29 but the quality is well above 29. the sauce is yummy and the salmon is good, though a bit over well done.
the chicken wings were fine... but i wont recommend that. it was too salty and ...erm... unhealthy

i also ate a chocolate brownie... which was ... not good. too sweet for me.
    good and cheap!

I've been here several times, and I've gotta say, this place is one of the best in the area with regard to the variety of food served.

So far, I've had a small dish of (baked?) salmon, chicken steak, cheese cake, assorted vegetables, and a few other things. The food quality is so-so, but the prices and lack of a wait more than justify the sometimes mediocre food quality.

The only thing is: the drinks are pretty expensive. Usually, restaurants lure you in for the low profit-margin food, and urge you to drink high profit-margin drinks. That said, while it's common practice, the price disparity between the food / drinks at this particular restaurant is pretty ridiculous. The only decent buy might be the coffee, which is refillable.

Also, you have to walk through the entire store to get to this place. If you're planning on going here during your lunch hour, you better be prepared to walk for a good 10-15 minutes within the store itself.

    Hope this helps!

In the first day of X'mas holiday, before I start working for my exam,I need to have a good meal. That day,I went to Shatin to do something,so I can eat at Ikea and had my favourite combination--Tomato spaghetti+meatballs!!
    BEST COMBINATION!
    BEST COMBINATION!

The meatballs are significant there. It is juicy and fleshy!I also like to eat with the cranberry jam.The jam are sweet and sour. The meatballs match with the jam so much!I always dip all the jam in the dish! The potatoes are no worse than the meatballs!Very fresh and soft enough to eat.
I like the spaghetti very much because of its tomato sauce. The sauce is much better than those bought in supermarkets!
The restaurant is always at low price and of high quality. So,the restaurant deserves so many positive comments!

    meat ball
-->meat balls are juicy and they are not very fat, their size is small and just a bite size~i dunno it's made of beef or pork....size dish is some cherry sause (sweet and sour, have cheery meat too) and some yellow colour sause which is very creamy~
i forgot the exact price but it's very reasonable

    french fries
-->freshly fried, it's hot and cripsy, i like this one as it's cut in thick size, not the thin one, the inner part remain soft!

    spegatti in tomato sause
tomato sause is very fresh, but a bit too sour coz no meat inside the dish, the sause is enough to miz with spegatti, noodles is alright as it's not too soft and not too hard~

I had Honey Roasted Pork Leg (very tender) chip (ok, but i went at 3pm) and boiled brocholi (yellow). and a tomatoe salad with italian dressing, and a small bottle of bonaqua.

Total cost was aroound HK$60. Great value for money loh...shame they had no roast beef, cos i heard it's very good.....

I'd recommend people to go ther if they goto "Bo Fok Shan" to worships their passed away relatives.....

    one famous item:meat ball
    juicy, tender.
mouth full of a mixture of meat and gravy wakening your tastebud...

after an afternoon of goods hunting in ikea, the restaurant act as a perfect refreshment(also provide you some energy to carry your stuff all the way back to home^^")

really not bad for this price rating.

    service is good.

enviroment is good (comparatively, hey,...dun be too picky)

    one more, as remember, there's a so-called hot-dog set, $10 for a hotdog(not hot) and a drink, $15 2 dogs and a drunk, plus a icecream cone...
yahoo, it filled me up hundred times in my poorest day when i was in uni. I just drove there, park my car in the lot, then go in and spent my last tonnie to buy a dog and a cup of unlimited refilling pepsi...^o^
just wonderful if Ikea all over the world are serving the same food for the same price, at least it is like this for HK and Canada.
