it's my favorite thing for this meal. the taste of sweet melt in my mouth with the smell of coffee. vanilla ice-cream is always my favorite too. it just matches all kind of desserts in a perfect way.

It was a dinner set, including soup+steak+drink.

It smelled so good. I didn't try it myself so i don't know how it would tasted. All i could see were prawns/squids.Green tea + Japanese snacks

They matched each other so well because green tea tasted abit bitter while the Japanese snacks was so sweet.

Casual dinner before movie at City Plaza.
Neighbourhood in Taikoo Shing usually hang out in this shopping mall, where there is a food court and several fast food chains, plus Chinese restaurants and high-end Japanese restaurant. Pokka Cafe is a indeed a good choice of casual dinner with comfortable seating for 2.
Menu is thick like a book, providing many choices from pasta, japanese set, korea dishes as well as steak and dessert. For me, I usually pick either Pasta or Japanese curry.
Due to my jaws hurt, I could only eat something soft for a while. So I had the Crab Meat and Pumpkin Soup, Salmon and Roe Spaghetti in cream sauce. The soup is so so, too waterly with very little slices of crab meat. Spaghetti is okay, sort of standard. Portion is perfect and at least, you can see the salmon and roe in there.
My friend ordered the Traditional Pork Chop rice with Japanese Curry, looks good; big portion of pork chop freshly fried with hot curry sauce. Crispy and juicy,

I'd love to have it all next time when my jaws recovered.
However, services need to be improved.
I arrived at 6-ish while there is 90% empty. I was standing at the reception for 2 minutes before a waitress saw me, she was 5 steps aways from me and did not willing come over, I waved to indicate that we are 2 people, she noticed, but then turned around to chit chat with a table of customers for another minute, obviously nothing urgent nor related to taking order/billing. I said "Excuse me......" and kept waving, and she finally willing to let me go in there, pointing me to the available seats. Waited for another 5 minutes before someone else giving me the menu


I understand it's "Neighborhood" restaurant, but as long as they put the sign out there asking customers "Wait here to be served", the waitress shall be responsible for this, as higher priority than chatting.
2 of all are well-trained, but the management shall be aware this and let the experienced ones to train up the others. Even there is 1 bad waitress of the whole team, can cause business loss.

spent my day at Tai koo Sing, so went to the POKKA cafe there for convenience. Order the member set for 98 which include a soup, baked egg & asparagus (appetizer), rack of lamb, coffee and a strawberry pudding...the taste is ok, not good nor bad. We also ordered my favorite "extra thick toast", waited for 30 minutes... but it was still COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! then we told the server to toast it again... she took it back for another 15 minutes, and the bread is just a bit WARM. As everyboday knows, the toast should be made to be CRISPY and hot... but not this time..! the toast is warm and the texture was like "day-old" bread!!! Will never go to this pokka ever again.... totally disappointed!!!
