Tai Ping Koon Restaurant    太平館餐廳  

It was my first time to try the renowned Tai Ping Koon tonite. I heard about it for long. And of course I had high expectation for the Swiss Chicken Wings. My BF and I ordered the Dinner Set for 2 with soup / salad, Swiss Chicken Wings and the Fried Beef Rice Noodle. The lobster bisque does not taste so good. Most important of all, there is really no big deal of the Swiss Chicken Wings and the Beef Noodle. The price was too high for the supposed-to-be impressive quality.

It costed ~$160 per head and got a disappointment.

My freind and I went to this restaurant to have dinner on 31Dec, New Year eve !
Services is ok, my freind feel hungry, they offer 2 extra breads to him at the beginning.
i瑞士雞翼 is delicious & hot,
no 梳乎里 provide in holiday eve
瑞士汁牛河 is too oily
Sea King 湯 is so fresh and yammy, with some seafood inside
but 豬脾 with rice, the souce + meat is ok, rice is not too hot and too cold
the new year set dinner offer desert ~ is a piece of cake - like maxim cake shop one
I paid the 2 New Year dinner sets $4XX + 1 dish of 豬脾 with rice, cost $570 for 3
I think this is not worth !

New Year Eve set ~ soup x 2 , fruit with some wine x2 , fried fish with some vegetable,
breads X 2, swiss chicken wing X 6 pieces, 瑞士汁牛河 x 1, cake X 2, 2 drinks
$438 + 10%
豬脾 with rice $79 + 10%
PS : the offical receipt offer the coupon for next perchasing in centre shop, over $250
offer free 瑞士汁牛河 or i瑞士雞翼 or less 10%

Just been visited recently and I was told this is a great spot to have a dinner..... Not really to me! Nice and old fashion interior... but the service should catch up a bit more. Food was ok (hk style). End up paid 230/head which can be better in some where else.
