I would just like to Thank IVY_CWK and Mjqueen7e for treating me to this delicious Omurice dinner.
This is a mega late review as we dined here ages ago!

Omurice is an omelette made with fried rice and usually topped with ketchup.

At Omerice, they specialize in Omurice and offer so many different flavoured omelettes with different sauces to choose from.

It was a small shop but the decorations were amazing. As we arrived early at six something, there were only a few people. Without prior booking, we were offered a small private room to enjoy our meal, we were surprised and happy!

Making decisions from the menu, we intentionally ordered three different dishes: Omerice with Beef ($78), Fried Japanese Pork ($88) and Fresh Eel ($90). As my friend recommended, we would like to try semi-cooked omerice.Omerice with Beef tasted good, there were many pieces of beef inside and it made the rice become juicy, which we believed it even made the omerice tastes better! Omerice with Fried Japanese Pork, however was a bit disappointed as the pork was not in good quality. Thought the pork was fried in a good manner, it was hard to chew, we all gave up eating it eventually. Finally, it comes to Omerice with Fresh Eel. This is the most popular dish among us as the eel with secret sauce taste delicious. Among the three dishes, curry sauce is the best to mix with omerice. Semi-cooked Omerice was a newly invented technique to us, however adding extra $18 seems a bit too much. In fact, we prefer the taste of the original omerice, we would like to back to normal next time.

tried out the famous omerice with sea urchins
looked really nice
appreciated the skilfully fried warm, soft and thin egg yolk outer layer
loved the mixture of taiwanese/japanese pearl rice and sea urchins cubes
very well seasoned and moist enough
absent of any unpopular smell which happened usually to fresh seafood
but even considering all these
it simply doesn't worth $138
you know that was after all some eggs and rice and then a little little little bit of sea urchins

and i thought of the $3X lunch set in food court downstair to my place lol

There was this sudden urge that I wanted to eat Japanese omlette rice.
I remembered going to the Wood House in Tsim Sha Tsui for the best Japanese omlette rice I ever had in Hong Kong. But how about the Hong Kong Island? Not until I have discovered the Omerice

I sit down and ordered two rice, waited for more than half an hour, and still haven't got it. So I ask them how long I still need to edit because the two table next to us got their plates already, but they ordered after us. They explained that their rice are made one by one so it will take more time. Our plate arrived quickly after asking them, they reconfirm the order is right when they place the plate. When we pay the bill, they double check with us the plate we ordered and said they can't find the order list. I'm pretty sure that they lost the order form and totally forgot our dishes, so I'm pretty angry because they said it's the cooking time instead of apologize, they made me feel I'm rude and rush to check on their process but ots actually them forgetting our order! Okay back to quality, the source are very little, except for curry. The flavor of the rice is very hong kong-ish, nothing like the original Japanese egg rice. I'm not a big fan of it. What impressed me the most is the egg, this is pretty up to standard aside from the fact that it's not wtappi v the rice, but it's a piece if ege on top of the rice. Overall I will score 70 for the rice. I suggest everyone to try the restaurant NIJI in tsim sha tsui, whi h has the best egg rice in hk in my point of view. And ots much better than this one. One last thing I'm very uncomfortable with is, there are too much waiters. The space is tiny with among 20 sth seats, and there are around 5 waiters inside which makes me feel like they are staring at you while eating and this annoys me(and i wonder why they can left out our order in this situation since they are staring at us waiting for so long)

very nice,, i m loving it!!!!!!! the omerice at there is so nice,,,,the taste of this is same as Japan ,,,Idon't know the cooker is come fr HK or Japan,,,but his style is special,,,long curly hair and thin........haha,,,,,and the cheese chicken wing is very juicy,,,,,,and it's without bone,,,interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
