Paisano's Pizzeria  

I called at 11am to order a pizza for 6:30pm, wanted to change the order about 20 minutes later.
But the staff told me that I can not change my order as the receipt is printed.
I was really suprised! I asked:' Can I not cancel the whole thing and order again?'
staff: ' No, I'm sorry'
Me: ' Oh, ok then'
I called again and apparently the order can be cancelled.
I have to call later on and order again
and I finally got what I wanted
4 people meal:
pizza with 4 toppings: nice
Pepperoni
Prosciutto ham
Bell pepper
Mushrooms

2 pastas:
Al's famous lasagna - very nice, the sauce is fantastic!
Spinach and ricotta ravioli - I have no idea why the pasta is sweet, not nice! the sauce is too runny

Caesar salad
the vegs are really fresh, very good!

I think the meal is for 6 people
loads of leftovers

I will order again, but will make sure what I really want before I call

Before this place opened, this area used to smell of second hand smoke, it was like the ghetto of Wan Chai.
It was so grey and gloomy it reminded me of one of the exits at Sham Shui Po.
I don't know why, but all the smokers gather at both ends of this footbridge.

There would be so many people cluttering there for no reason as well, but it has changed now.
The people clutter elsewhere nearer the escalator entrance.

Paisano's has definately brightened that area and given it lively vibes, it is now the mini LKF of Wan Chai.

Perhaps, there will be smaller pubs opening on Thompson road in the distant future bringing more vibes and energy.

When you walk over the footbridge these days, you are greeted by the smell of delicious Pizza and herbs.

Overall the pizza's were sensational, but could be re-heated better because they were cold.
Hopefully when I dine here in the winter, my pizza won't be ice-cold.

Tried three flavours: Vegetarian, Paisano's slice and the Manhattan.
Manhattan and Paisano's are similar but Manhattan does not have olives.
The pizza base is just right, and the tomato sauce is rich and the cheese is not stringy and tasteless.

I love the pizza here, but thought i'd give the breakfast stromboli a try.
at first glance, i thought 'pfft, that's not so big', and it didn't look such a hot deal compared with their pizza slices, but the thing is seriously thick. It feels like eating a solid half-dozen eggs, plus bread and ham. the bread is soft and warm (difficult to find), and if the egg seems overwhelming, the tomato sauce breaks it up well.

coffee was a bit too frothy.

overall, good breakfast ($30)

I am usually not a fan of reheated pizza but the pizza in this shop certainly looks delicious and drove me to drop into their store for a try.

I didn't count how many different types of pizza this shop has offered but in my mind it has at least 8 types. To play safe, I ordered one pepperoni and one hawaiian to try. The taste of the pizzas were actually quite good, but of course for those real pizza lovers, "pizza express" certainly offers higher standard pizza. What I can say about this shop is that their pizza can fulfill the desire of most pizza lovers and for $35 dollars, it certainly is a really really good deal for a meal in Wanchai! The atmosphere of the shop is awesome, too! A half open area which people can stand outside have a beer. This place can definitely be developed into a hot spot in Wanchai!

Besides pizza, I saw people order spaghetti as well. But to me, I don't think i will ever give up any of my stomach space for anything but these tempting pizza!
