To be honest I prefer going to places that I have not tried before rather than re-visiting places unless they are incredibly delicious.

There were scones displayed in a heated cabinet which keeps them lovely and warm.

Anyway got two cheese scones at $7 each, both were warm.
The size of the scone was about 6cm by 6cm at 3cm thickness, so quite small.

They were extremely crumbly on the outside and soft inside.
The softness inside was similar to mochi but not that chewy.
It was moist, buttery and very cheesey.

On a day too hot.. Just OK Oct 09, 2011
Share with MessengerShare on TwitterShare on Facebook
Since it was almost time for me to leave Hong Kong, we had decided to go around Hong Kong to try some interesting places. This time, we went to CRUMBS because I had always liked frozen yoghurt, but was just limited to YOMAMA, so this is for me to try something new. tongue

It was so hot that day, and feels even hotter in MK because of all the pollution and the crowds. We finally arrived at CRUMBS, and Y ordered mochi with blueberries, whereas I had mochi and 椰果(coconut fruit?). We got lucky that day and had free crumbs on our yoghurt, which I later realised, are actually gingerbread crumbs, and goes quite well with the yoghurt's taste. lol
    Our yoghurts ;)
    Our yoghurts ;)

The yoghurt itself was pretty good, not too sweet. I especially liked how they made layers of yoghurt and toppings which made them look prettier. For mine, the mochi was both soft and chewy, which was great, but I find that there are too much sugar with the 椰果. It was definitely a great yoghurt place.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure was it the day being too hot, or the yoghurt are not being kept at a cold enough temperature, the yoghurt started to melt not long after we got them. And by the time we reached Mong Kok MTR station, half of it had melted (which I think is perfectly normal given the HK average temperature, it's just not appealing that's all).

Despite the yoghurt melted, I found it delicious. But probably it's better to have it perhaps indoors next time, or when the weather is somewhat cooler.

I always wanted to try Crumbs. That day, after school ,I travelled a long way to visit Crumbs in Mong Kok.When I arrived there, there was only a short queue but I still needed to wait for sometime.I ordered Large froyo with house crumbs and strawberries as toppings.

Wow!The large cup was really large! The froyo was smooth and creamy. It would be even better if it was less creamy. The froyo did not melt easily. The house crumbs were well made! There was a fragrant cinnamon smell. They were crunchy too.The strawberries were fresh but not sweet enough. But there were a lot of strawberries in a cup.$32 was a good value!
I was full after eating this froyo. But I still walked to another froyo shop---Yogo.

I also bought scones home.I am a scone-lover.So I am very excited that there is one more shop that sell yummy scones!
Love the scones!Cheese flavour is the best!

The scones were well baked! The next day,I used the microwave oven to reheat the scones, but the scones still tasted great!I bought all three flavours! The best was cheese flavour.Cheese scone is rare in HK.Cheese scones of Crumbs had good cheesy smell and tasted special.

    CRUMBS!

Finally I could get to write a comment on one of my favorite froyo stores, Tada! It’s Crumbs!
Unlike other brands, I like the harder texture of the froyo, stronger yoghurt taste, and best of all: the house Crumbs! The house crumbs were freshly baked and it seems to have some hint of cinnamon in it. This time I chose strawberry and crumbs as the toppings (and asked for more crumbs!! mad As you can see in the picture!).

They had another popular toppings which is the white mini meringue which I MUST try it out next time… hm.. also Mochi... woooo have to try many more times then~~

    Date: Monday 13th August 2010 8.30pm

Ordered: Large Froyo includes two toppings ($32) - Oreo + Cornflakes

Taste: It is probably the best Original flavour Yogurt I have tasted so far from so many other choices out there!!! It is definitely smoother and not as ice cold. But it has this richness that no other Froyo I have tasted have. It seemed like ice cream to me, smooth with a vanilla taste!!! Was damn yummy!!! I chose Oreo and cornflakes as toppings, and the girl told me I can add Cinnamon on top for free. So I agreed, so there was basically 3 toppings. I actually don't like Cinnamon but it was tasty and added texture to the yogurt.
it came in quite a big cup, i love how generous it is. They were generous on the toppings too. i had toppings with yogurt nearly with every spoonful. One thing i really liked was it is not like other Froyo shops, their toppings aren't just on top of the yogurt, you find toppings at middle too!!!

Conclusion: I LOVE CRUMBS!!!!!!!!! I wasn't expecting it to be that good. iw alk pass crumbs all time in CWB but i never had urge to try as i expected it to be quite nasty as they are selling scone - scones and yogurt has no connections? BUT oh my... what have I missed out. I am already craving to go back.
they had free tasting for scones too, they were tasty but probably no in this weather!!!

I just go to try this crumbs at mk

ng ...i ordered rasberries instead of mochi...cox mochi is too small for me ...not chewy enough

but i received green tea mochi yogurt.......ooooooo nvm..
I hope shopgals (who s wearing dark big glasses.) could pay more attention when listening to customers' order...
THIS is the only thing need to improve..

Other aspects are fine....Yogurt base still like ice cream. no ice flakes in it...sweet and have yogurt powder's flavor.

Blueberries are SOSOhuffy cox too cold to bite them...and my tooth are freezing mad

Crumbs in Mongkok! Smile Aug 20, 2010
Share with MessengerShare on TwitterShare on Facebook
I was shopping for fish the other day and I could believe my eyes!! It was a hot day and I was just thinking about getting a frozen yogurt somewhere... suddenly there were the familiar crumbs logo around the corner!!! I couldn't believe my luck!

I have been a customer from Day 1 of their Causeway Branch, this may sound crazy but I get my maid, armed with a bag of ice, so I can have this delicious frozen yogurt in front of the TV. She gets my husband and I, ten cups at least a week!

After six months and I can tell you, that its not fattening and my bowel movements are great! Its all that live bacteria culture!

As you can see, I am a frozen yogurt fangirl, I have tried all the watered down competition, CRUMBS is by far the best... The scones are also delicious and light!

    TWO THUMBS UP!!!!

Love everything about Crumbs! Smile Aug 19, 2010

Great scones and yo!!!! Scones are not too heavy - just perfectly warm and delicate. Yogurt topped with their house Crumbs is just unbeatable. They just should open MORE Crumbs all around HK. tongue

Oh, there's also the five star service that comes with the food they serve. It's service like that which makes me want to keep returning. Go Crumbs!!
