Ate dinner with my family and entertained a relative. We came somewhat early and had not wait.

Peking duck was so-so. Combo BBQ appetizer was OK -- the char siu and roast pork were good, but not sure what to make of the deep fried bean curd. Beef with scallions was ok. Baked rice pot with fish and scallions required a 40 minute wait and was only OK.

Decor is very nice and service was good.

This restaurant is average.

We have 2 overseas visitors who are crab lovers so we thought we go to Super Star Restaurant to try out the '黃油蟹' meal. It was a bit crowded and we were sitting right outside the kitchen so we almost need to shout when we talked.

First of all, the waiter placed an order for 3 meals for 4 people by mistake so when the shark fin soup came, we realized 1 was missing. The missing soup only came when we chased and 3 of us have finished ours. The quality was BAD - shark fin doesn’t taste like shark fin at all, more like plastic.

Then we have waited almost 30 mins for the crabs to come. In between we chased 4 or 5 times and every waiter/waitress said they will follow up but no one came back to us on the status. At last, the crabs came and they tasted average. Just when we were eating the crabs, all other foods came and they served on separate plates… so 3 dishes for 4 of us resulted in 12 small plates all in a sudden appeared on our table. The abalone included in the meal tasted like rubber on soy source and the rest of the food were ok.

Just when we were busy eating the meals, I realized there were not enough food. Given the experience of waited long, I asked one of the waitresses how long it takes to order a黃油蟹 congee and she said it will be quick. Therefore we placed the order… again we waited for quite a while and asked several times about our congee, nothing came out and no follow up whatsoever. We were so pissed that we decided to cancel the order and asked them to give us the dessert comes with the meal - birds nest almond soup. When the dessert came, it has absolutely NO taste. The waiter said whoever cooked it must have forgotten to put sugar. He then collected them back and said he will cook it again. Later on I realized does that mean they will pour everything back into the pot and cook it again with everyone had a sip of it? We decided we will not risk ourselves sharing everyone’s germ and left the table.

We settled the bill with $2800 for 4 people and wondered why we are paying that sort of money with such bad services + bad quality of food. One of the waitresses realized we were very upset with our experience and insisted to give us 2 packages of peanut snacks before we go but it didn't change the fact that we have decided we will NEVER go back to this restaurant again. I wanted to share our unfortunate experience with you.

This shop is much more spacious than the one at Harbour City and the food quality maintains very high!
