以前在西貢分店食過dinner set with brussels sprouts side dish，要求"走cheese"後店方決定用洋蔥同煙肉炒，但那兒係cafe這兒係restaurant，有所不同。
bread and butter, butter never melt
first it came french bread with butter(dinner set for quail), i can't tolerate gluten and dairy so i didn't eat them, but i saw clearly my mom can't spread the butter cubes on bread slice despite of great pushing!
what came next was a stir fry shrimp(added starter for dinner set), the shrimp was REAL fresh and i love the stir fry veggies below those shrimps, it contained three color bell peppers with right shred thickness, also sliced mushrooms and onion shred. the only bad point was that they've used sundried tomato OIL to cook the dish, though smell nice, but SUPER OILY for a veggie lover.
baked quail stuffed with couscous
dinner set main dish, baked quail immediately arrived after we finished the shrimps, the cherry tomatoes were fresh and juicy, while the green zucchini was absolutely to die for, but the yellow zucchini was some how bitter for me, also too oily during the pan fry process instead of grilling.
bacon on quail
bacon scared me a bit, but i still have to eat something so i immediately start eating the quail, and wanna portion it to dishes for sharing.
sweet bacon couscous
then the surprise came! we actually can't read couscous in the menu, and it "BOMB" out when i cut half the quail~
the roasted potato was super delicious, i loved these than chips or fries.
lots of fresh herbs, yum
the couscous was sweet by its own, but balancing the saltiness of quail very well, again super oily becuz of mixing in chopped bacon, herbs and maybe, some real sugar crystals, very nice texture but not nutty enough.
rabbit leg with mashed potatoes
rabbit leg came, tomato sauce was not that good for that chewy meat, not so nice but mom loved it. the french bean was sure the worse veggie i've ever had in my whole life, but still love that zucchini.
carb lovers' mashed potatoes
mashed potatoes were again full of texture, sweet from potato itself, and matched well with the mushroom sauce from the quail dish. but those mushrooms there were from cans, without good texture and the sauce was kind of weird too.
brussels sprouts were better here than in sai kung shop, as there's no fatty bacon, but here includes much more herbs and meaty soup to cook them fully, and the garlic was so tasty too.
black sesame cream sponge
black sesame cream sponge was dessert from set dinner, it looked worse than the strawberry panna cotta last time, and mom told me they tasted bad too,
and the most surprising thing was that two cakes were with different filling. mango puree>sesame mousse>sesame cookie crumbs>sesame mousse>whipped cream>yellowy sponge slice.
why why why吾同既???
milk tea was NOT OK at all, the door was real difficult to be opened, but no one was willing to help, we stood there nearly five minutes and everybody inside the restaurant seems "too busy" huh?!
quick refill water, but not waiting for the glass hitting the table, instead non-stop asking you to put it down for her to refill for you. quite annoying while you're actually chatting.
