My friend & I just wanna spent some quality time together so we need a place that we can eat & chat without hassle, so there we go, we picked Osteria. There were quite many good comments for this restaurant in Openrice then I found 2 cmmentaries from probably the same group of people about the lousy service they got there. Then, we heard from the waiter that the furious customers indeed filed a complaint to their management team...Anyhow, we were happy with the service we had that ...

I went to Osteria for lunch today with my father. There was a few people there but overall it was quite quiet. The waiters and the manager are really nice and we sat down quite quickly in a little corner of the restaurant. In Osteria, you have two choices: a-la-carte menu or lunch set. The lunch set is $188 and I can assure you that you will be definitely full and satisified after this set. There are two choices for Appetizers: Cauliflower and Clams Soup or Antipasti ...

This was a Saturday before Valentine's Day. My boyfriend and I had the kick off celebration on this Saturday lunch at Osteria. We booked the table at noon and we are the first couple arrived for lunch. The menu already changed to Valentine's day menu even the a la carte menu, almost all main courses and pasta were priced at $350 each. For lunch I can't take a whole pizza, even for two of us. So the manager Peter introduced us for a special menu $388 / person. ...

It's always a headache when my Asiamiles are about to expire and I can't get any flights I want, so I decided to consume them instead. I've heard good things about Osteria, especially their pasta, and so we came along to try their set dinner for two. The restaurant was a little noisier than I had expected for one within a hotel, but the tables were quite packed (the guy next to us knocked over a glass from the table behind when he took off his coat, and another table of 12+ for a big f...

If you're looking for great and authentic Italian food in HK, chances are dinner is going to be a black tie affair. OK, maybe I'm exaggerating just a little bit, but I seriously think that good Italian retaurants here take themselves too seriously and as a result make for a way too serious meal. So when I'm not feeling so serious, but I'm in the mood for a seriously great Italian meal, I hit the seriously cosy Osteria. Seriously! OK, let's get serious. Osteria is th...

Italian restaurants are scattered all over the city, but if you want one that serves good Italian fare with a mellow, classy ambiance, head on over to Osteria which is tucked away on the Mezzanine floor of the Holiday Inn Golden Mile hotel. We started dinner with several appetizers. The Liguria-style octopus salad was deliciously good although octopus bits and pieces were lacking. We also had some carpaccio - smoked salmon and beef with rocket salad and apples. I loved how the ...

This is a great restaurant. The walls are done in stone and reminded me of Tuscany however there is also a feeling of modernity in the contrast between stone walls and simplistic pictures. Before entering the restaurant there is a large glass window through which you can see the kitchen. It creates a sensation that you are not eating out but that you are rather part of a family. The feeling is continued through the manager's lively attitude. He makes sure that everything is good and...

Saw an advert in the papers on a 15% discount promotion at Osteria a couple of months back. But I just needed the reason to go there...and there came the time of having to pick a place for my folks' wedding anniversary celebration. I thought my parents wouldn't object to this too. smile I made a reservation for 7 o'clock in the evening, and by the time we got to the restaurant, there were only a couple of patrons. I took the opportunity tolook around and ask the captain for the choice of...

Dinner with two friends. Restaurant was full on a busy Saturday night. Staff was a bit pressed, but coped reasonably well. Thought it was a bit strange to have olive oil poured into tiny bowls on the table (apparently for dipping bread) but then no bread was served (only breadsticks, not suitable for dipping). Prosciutto and melone was good. Two of us tried the Sardinian pasta-type dish Fregula (a sort of larger couscous grain) -- the chicken version was better ...
