Had triple O for a quick lunch take-out. Ordered a mushroom burger combo. took them almost 15 mins to cook in non-peak hour.
Beef patty was grilled, I thought was good, but the whole burger strong flavor, and the mushroom tastes plain.
Fries are big with potato skins.

The burger is definitely better than McDonald's, but given the price, I don't think it beat my expectations.

What does "OOO" mean? Smile Sep 29, 2010

Since I worked quite hard these days, I decided to give myself a treat - to have a fabulous meal at lunch. The appealing fast food restaurant Triple O's came across my mind instantly, and I was anticipating the lunch hour for the whole morning.

At lunch, I went to Triple O's and found there was no one on the queue, fabulous. I went through my choicephoia and finally made my decision on the Mushroom Burger Combo. I actually have a thing towards mushroom, so according to my boyfriend, my choice was not hard to predict. Anyway, I ordered the set priced at $68, which I also requested an extra egg topping for $5. Given the price of the combo, $5 was comparably cost nothing.

My Mushroom Burger Combo was made with 100% pure beef patty topped with fresh sautéed mushrooms and triple O’s sauce. It was not my first time having Triple O's Burger, but before I blogged about food, I never really remember how food tasted like when I had them. So I was really excited about having a nice big delicious burger at lunch.

Anyway, when I unwrapped my burger, funny enough I found my slice of pickle at side on top of my burger. The pickle was a pretty large slice. Since I love pickle in my burger, I immediately inserted it to the happy layers of toppings in between the burger buns. My colleagues commented the put aside act was very considerate since she didn’t like pickle very much and would take it out everytime when she encounters pickles in burger. My boyfriend told me that in the US, people usually ate the pickles separately from the burgers. E.g. Several bites of burgers then a bit of pickle. Interesting.

Triple O’s burger was in general not a particular huge bun, i could still managed to take a mouth bite from top to bottom in one go after squeezing the buns together. Somehow I did have this constance dilemma of having the great satisfaction brought from a huge burger and the messiness it brought me when every single bits of the toppings fell out. I do think I am a greedy person, so I did wish Trip;e O's burger was larger.

I have my 100 % pure beef patty grilled to medium, and I was a bit disappointed as it was not exactly as juicy as I thought it would be. Although it was not juicy enough, the possession of a strong beef taste counter balanced that. Adding the Triple O's secret saucing, the patty tasted amazingly delicious.

The Egg was a Over Hard one and I was partially dissatisfied about the thickness of the egg. the egg was done too thin that it lost the mouthfeel that it supposed to have possessed. Whereas, the mushroom were also a bit tiny, which I personally prefer a nice portabello if only they could have any.

On the other hand, the Chips were amazing too! They were all thickly sliced, possessed a crispy as well as golden yellow coating. The chips were at suitable saltiness, but having ketchup to go with it was even better.

Triple O’s saucing was extremely good. It totally spiced up the burger and gave much more taste and moisturization to the beef patty. The sauce was plenty and was literally everywhere - in the buns, between the layers of toppings as well as the paper wrapper. Although I did not mind the overflowing sauces and the messiness, I could not helped wondering why they had to have so many sauces on the bun. I flipped through Triple O's take away leaflet and found this.

“The burger-only concept, Triple O’s. was launched in 1997 and was named after carhop shorthand where three “X”s meant no sauce and three “O”s meant extra extra extra sauce. "

    And here it explains why.

    是日午餐, order 如下:

chopstickoriginal burger - just fairly good to me. the burger smilewas huge and you can see it's full of vege, sauce etc inside, and ofcoz, its smilevery big beef. however, sadthe beef is not juicy as i expected, instead i can say it's dried (that's y there's so much sauce with it?).
chopstickfries - smilethick fries that i like, with smile lovely smell of potato! just smilevery slightly salted and thus you can taste the real potato there! lovely!
chopstickstrawberry milk shake - that's y it's their best seller! smilevery strong taste of fresh strawberry! unlike McDonalds, the shake heresmile has real strawberry taste instead of the artificial one! smilethick but smooth! one bad thing issad there isnt any larger straw here provides, which makes it hard to suck up the shake with the thin straw.

    overall,
smilemilk shake is definitely nice! you cant miss it! other food is ok.
smileso nice of it that the pickle is OUTSIDE the burger! you don't have to pick it out with bare fingers anymore!
smilethe food is freshly made, hot enough when it comes! don' t have to wait too long.
    smilestaffs are nice.
sada bit costly tho, it costs me $6x for just a lunch! in Wanchai!
bowli'll still come again some time later.
