They currently have a promo with HSBC so we ended up paying only $208 for lunch buffet. Considering that the restaurant is in a hotel and that it was buffet, I think it wasn't such a bad deal.

Choices for appetizers were aplenty - there were cold cuts, salads, cold seafood (shrimp, oysters, clams, etc.) and one shouldn't have to worry about not finding something that they like. However, it sometimes took the staff a while to refill the serving plates and there were a handful of customers who would impolitely and inconsiderately hoard food.

I liked the foie gras with mango salad.

They only had three kinds of sashimi - salmon, tuna and i don't know what the other one is.

The sashimi they had on hand were fairly good though.

There was an assortment of main dishes to choose from - Chinese food to Thai food to Indian food to Western food.

I liked the baked salmon in thai style that they had last Saturday. It was very pungent with spices and you get a smorgasbord of taste in every bite.

And whatever they had lacking in the sashimi and main dish sections, they made up for with desserts. There was so much pastries to choose from! And they had a whole variety of cheesecakes too -blueberry, coffee, baked, cookies n cream, etc.

And for the non-sweet/healthier dessert people, there were three fruit bowls to choose from - watermelon, melon and hami melon. And yes, they still server Haagen-Dazs ice cream.lol

Good services, average buffet Just OK Feb 16, 2009

Last Saturday I went there for Lunch Buffet with my family, Adult $228, children$136, Holiday inn member card holder will be free. Cos we have 2 member card, so request table for 4 but separate the bill in 2, but the way they calculate was a bit funny!! especially when you use $100 coupon with the member card, it was NOTas cheap and bargain as I thoughtsad
My idea was: (e.g. 2 people)
    $228 - $100 (coupon) +10% , also Member was free
Total should be $158 for 2 people
    actual calculate was:
    $228 x 2
    = $456
    - $100 (Couple)
    =$356 / 2 person (member was free)
    =$178 (price for 1person)+$45.60 (10% for 2 person)
    Total=223.6 (2 people)

Also they offer special price for elderly, cos I noticed that a lots of Grandma & Grandad sitting next to uslol, BUT no offense, the food sign was sitting behind the hot plate, the old people can't really see that, and they will open all the lid to check the food, but they also move their head really close to the foodshocked, that's a bit scaryshocked
Salmon Sashimi was good and big portion, sushi was OKsad
Chinese hot plate was OK, not much flavour, nothing special,BUT
the Chinese chicken soup was really goodsmile
roast duck or goose was really goodsmile
    Indian Naan Bread was goodsmile
VERY DISSAPOINT for the Dessert sad
they LOOK better than their tastesad
I hope they can bring more tasty food and dessert to the restaurant, otherwise, I don't think I will go back againtongue

Wonderful Lunch Smile Feb 02, 2009

During the Chinese New Year and I was invited to have lunch with friend, I was suprised once I arrived the restaurant, it's because the salad bar was located near the entrance and there was a lot of different variety of salad, starter and seafood were put on the table, besdies, they were looks attractive. Then, when I was seated, the server immediately introduced their specialties and presented the menu to me. I looked on the menu and most attract me was the soft shell crab because I never tried before. After few minutes, the soft shell crab was delivered and I put it into my mouth immediately, it tasted crispy and delicious. Later, I also tried other specialties item on the menu and I liked the idea very much because it saved a lot of time in getting food from buffet table and I have more time in chatting with friend. It was a good time to me
