Located near the Jusco supermarket, this joint is slightly smaller than the one at I-square.

Anyway came here for the stir-fried soba noodles because I like soba and okra.

    Soba with okra and mushrooms:

Usually soba comes with broth or as cold noodles but here they had the stir-fried version.
The garlic taste and tomato were quite strong but the chili was not that spicy.
I found the texture of the soba noodles to be slighty mushy and sticky because I think the stir-fried soba was rather wet and the sap that comes from okra is also quite viscous.

    Cream puff:

The cream puff was really nice and it was quite big as well.
The buttery smell was quite strong and the sweetness was just right.

Afternoon Snack Just OK Feb 20, 2012

Went to Jusco for their Thanksgiving Sales last Saturday. After shopping for some time, we've decided to look for a place to rest a bit and have some afternoon snacks before continue shopping. We were attracted by the cakes displayed at the front area of the shop and thus decided to went in and have a try.

Ordered 2 sets of their afternoon tea-set - Cake set and Japanese-style fried chicken with fries. Ordered for coffee cake to go with hot coffee. The cake was yummy, coffee taste was pretty rich. Hot coffee was just fine, nothing special to mention.

As for the Japanese-style fried chicken with fries, not too sure if they intentionally fried them longer to make them more crispy, or simply over-fried, the fries were crispy but quite hard too. The same goes to the chicken nuggets, the outer layer was pretty hard, but luckily the meat was still alright. But overall was still ok. We've topped-up HK$8 to change the set-drink to Citron Soda. But they seemed to be quite 'stingy' in with the concentrated grapefruit essence. There was not much taste of citrus, but just some plain soda.

In fact, their pastas seemed to look good, but unfortunately we didn't try them out this round. Hmm.. Will probably give them another try in our future visits.

i ordered a lovely cake yesterday. a green tea cake! ( it's around $23-24 if we order it with a dinner set. the dinner set is around $72-78. )
there were some red beans in the cake.

and, i ordered a green tea drink too. (a drink is included in the dinner set but green tea drink may requires an extra $8. hope i don't make a mistake here.) a cup of honey was provided with the drink.

my friend and i ordered spaghetti for the main course. i love the spaghetti of Yumemiya. so tasty~!

Lunch Just OK May 01, 2011
Share with MessengerShare on TwitterShare on Facebook
Ordered 4 set lunches. Overall impression is that the food quantity is small but sufficient. The fillet fish taste is slightly bland but not distasteful. The carbonara rice bowl was a bit better in terms of taste and quantity. The fried rice with eel was the most expensive. The salad appetizer is actually nice even though its quite small. The drinks that came with the lunch was good. The soup was very little.

    Date dined 8th July 2010 -12.30pm

Food spaghetti with cream sauce lunch set with green tea with cream + hamburger with rice lunch set with ice coffee

Taste: spaghetti with cream sauce- The pasta was al dente, very creamy but not rich like carbonara. I did not like the sausage that was cookedw ith it, although the mushroom blended in well, but not enough mushroom. portion was average, but pasta is carbohydrate which will feel you up.

Soup - the soup was part of the set. It was pale green but very creamy. i suspect it was cream of pea soup. i really liked it. Very japanese, seemed very healthy instead of fattening.

Salad - came again with the set. Only small portion. i loved it though with the sesame dressing japanese people use on their salad. It is not healthy like other english dressing or salad cream. It was refreshing indeed.

japanese hamburger rice- This was disappointing. The hamburger just seemed like those pork patty chinese people have as a dish. did not seem much of a hamburger. Definately would not try it again. The sauce was not enough, so had to eat the meat alone.

Green tea with cream- I had to pay about 15 dollar more for this drink in my set. It looked super nice in the menu, (well everything did too) It wasn't bad but could be richer in the taste. It tasted too watery and the cream did not have much affect on it. i rather pay that price and have a green tea Frap at Starbucks

    Iced coffee - YUCK!!!!

Overal It is second time I have been it. They change ther lunch menu quite often. It is average price but could be cheaper, but it isn't in the food court so you get decent seats. I do like how they present their food. Although their food is not as good as the first time I been here. food was cold this time and they should really improve on their drinks. The young waitress definately needs some training, she had blunt attitude and did not smile. I asked the drinks to come first but it did not come until RIGHT AT THE END when I am full!
