Here's what we ordered last time: spaghetti with meat sauce, fried pork with tomato sauce, fried salmon & cheese appetizer
The spaghetti with meat sauce: On the plus side, PdW knows how to cook pasta. On my visit to Fat Angelo's for instance, I found that all the pasta was overcooked and mushy. Here at PdW, it was al dente, which is how it should be. On the minus side, the meat sauce I got was very sweet. Jarred pasta sauce can be pretty sweet, but this was *way* sweeter than that. Overall, 5/10-- I wouldn't order this dish again.
Fried pork with tomato sauce: The tomato sauce was much closer to Western-style pasta sauce, and was not nearly so sweet as the meat sauce. The fried pork was good too: juicy inside, crispy outside. If you're a fan of chicken parmigiana, this is a good option. 7/10
Fried salmon & cheese: this is cheesy and greasy. I guess I should've expected that. My wife found it too heavy to eat. I ate mine but I did feel a little icky afterward. 4/10
The food here is hit or miss. If you're judicious in your selection and a little bit lucky, it can be decent. If you're unlucky or don't think about what you're ordering (fried salmon and cheese, for instance), it can be poor. I'd give the place 6/10
