Boss, colleagues and I had only 50 mins for lunch so we were pressed for lunch. Tried Outback (fabulous lunch sets) but it was full. The only other restaurant we were familiar with was 小南國 so off we went.
Because of the change of venue (and also my boss in a rush) I wasn't able to confirm discounts with the reception before sitting down. When asked (after we were seated unfortunately) the captain completely dishonoured the HSBC offer even tho I was able to load it up on my iPhone:
We were ordering a la carte so it's not because we ordered a menu. Asked two other waitresses and were met with similarly amnesic denials.
We didn't order much - we had some morning tea at our previous meeting, but the bill still came up at $880 ($110 each). And it wasn't very good food - Lei Bistro would have been better.
On our way back to the office even our boss whinged about the price. I told him they dishonoured his HSBC discount too. We're blacklisting at least this restaurant.

Went here to celebrate a birthday and left very dissappointed. FIrst of all the service is horribly slow, even though the restaurant was empty. The food:
Squid appetizer: Tasted like flavor less chewing gum, had to swallow whole because you could not chew this dish Pork Belly: Drenched in sweet sauce and burned to a crisp on the grill, all you could tast was sugar. I know pork belly is fat but there was almost no meat on this dish, just the fat
White fish special: This dish was HUGE, a whole cooked fish in broth and spices and it looked amazing. But the taste was totally dissapointing, it had no flavor at all, like tasting water. There was no side dishes to the fish, i guess you had to order extra.
THis restaurant was a big dissapointment and do not recomend.

Very very bad attitude even manager (especially the lady with coloured hair). Staff had no smile, not friendly and rude. Is happen on the 14/ Oct which was my father 79th birthday, total of 8 adult and 2children at 7pm. I called to make reservation few days again. And informed that we will bring along a birthday cake. The receptionist says "no problem". But after the main course we asked for our cake. The waiter mentioned that if you wanted me to serve for you, there will be charges. I said to him so what happen i dont need you to serve me??? He immediately place the cake on the table (WITH BOX) and when away. I was very angry, wanted to file a compliant. But is seem like the manager is with the same attitude no smile, Just walking around the restaurant without serving and just shoe shine the big spender.
Food was ok, is nice.It was around $400 per person, no expenses food. Is was not worth for this kind of service and attitude.

Service is not that good considering this is an upper end restaurant. We asked 紅燒肉,they gave us 花椒紅燒肉instead.
Some 4 common dishes and 4 starter, taste average with one 冬瓜湯 and a fish. Bill came as $2500.

Book a table for 10 a week before, But they just give me the worst position I could find in the resterant. Requested to change to other availble window-sit table but the waitress just lied that those table is for 12 ppls, whereas I just found 9 in during my whole dinning time. The place is overloaded. Too crowded so as to extremely noisy. The tast of food is disapointing either. It seems that the cook has spent 1 Lite of giner to cook only a 200g fish. All the dishes just served in messy appearance. Very bad service + poor tast of food. I can't find any reason to go this resterant again. Many best Shang Hai cuisine around. Why bother chose this poor one?

three people had dinner: wonton chicken pot ($110 for half). we expected to have half chicken but there's whole. there are 12 large vegetable and meat wontons. the soup was quite delicious. but the chicken meat was hard.
勝瓜炒菌姑: so so. a little bit salty
小籠包: the skin was too thick. taste of the soup and meat inside was ok.
jelly fish head: very very hard. $58. tastes like 'pig skin'.
