Came here after happy hour and didn't make reservations - the restaurant was full and we were lucky that we only had to wait 10 mins.

the taste was okay - in my opinion the pork was much tastierI caramba does the Mondays Expat deal - so 2 for 1 dining, which is great!

Overall, the service was good, enviroment was nice, and the value for the food is good as we both couldn't finish our food!

Went there with the kids and enjoyed a good Mexican meal. The portions were good sized and the food was tasty. We had the Chili-Nachos as an appetizers [the pico de gallo has some kick to it]. Serving size was good. I ordered the Big Burrito with smoked pulled pork. I have to say I was expecting pulled pork with a hint of Tex-Mex flare [maybe some cumin or chili powder], but it was good old fashion pulled pork like I get in Atlanta. Now don't get me wrong...I love pulled pork but not so much in a burrito. Next time I will order it with chicken.
My son ordered the Chimichangas [with beef]. This dish was very good and beef was plentiful. My daughter had the soft tacos with chicken and she was less impressed with the flavor of the chicken...lacking some zest...maybe a touch of lime to the seasoning.
As any restaurant in Soho...it is a bit more expensive but that’s Soho. I would go again just because the number of Mexican placed in Hong Kong is limited.

Being in US for a few months, I have grown to love Mexican food. Many might find the taste of black beans unacceptable, I found it irresistible.

When people told me about Chipotle, I thought they were over the top about it. I thought, 'How could a chain restaurant be nice anyway?'. The answer is clear if you ever had Chiptole. There are for sure places in US that offer better Mexican food, but I just couldn't find one in Hong Kong yet.

Coming back to HK, I went to iCaramba again to refresh my memory as I once thought it is really good. As usual we came here on a Monday Night, once a restaurant is listed on Super Monday list, you wouldn't want to come here on another day.

Caramba Nachos $105 (8/10)
We used our saved cost on some nice Sangria and yummy nachos. The Nachos was in generous portion, cheese, tomato and gua were all over the plate. Several nachos were soggy due to the toppings, but they were generally great nachos. (There can't be very bad nachos right?)I was thinking about Burrito for my main but my friends said I am boring, so I picked Chimichanga which is a deep fried version of Burrito!

Chicken Chimichanga $102 (7/10)
My Chicken Chimichanga was presented exactly like the Burrito but with crispier skin. I agree to certain extend that Mexican dishes taste pretty much the same, I reckon the distinguishing factor lies on how a restaurant seasons their food. The Chimichanga tasted nothing special and the black beans seemed a bit too wet. Well I guess it's a good dish if you haven't ever tried Chipotle's lime cilantro rice and delicious black beans!Caramba Mexican Flan $55 (9/10)
I had never had Flan before, so I was eager to try it. Flan is a traditional caramel custard which iCaramba added a hint of cointreau on it. The cute little thing looked like a pudding but tasted like caramel egg tart! The texture kind of surprised me, and I like it very much!Even the food is just okay I would recommend iCaramba simply because of their ambiance and large range of spicy sauces available. From easy Tabasco to crazy spicy sauces with interesting name like 'Hottest Fuckin Sauce' or 'Hot as Shit Hot Sauce', you just can't resist but try them! Warning: They do taste as hot as their names!!!!

You definitely don't want to just pop in here without a reservation on Saturday night. My wife and I were lucky in that two seats opened up right when we arrived; two parties immediately afterward were turned away.

I tend to judge Tex-Mex places on the quality of their fajitas. I had had the beef fajitas here before and was unimpressed. This time I had the chicken fajitas. A rundown:

Tortillas: flat and lifeless, not warm or stretchy or fluffy or tasty. Less lifeless than the ones at Tequila, but still some of the worst flour tortillas I've encountered. 3/10

Sour cream: that liquid sour cream goo. 2/10

Salsa: So their salsa is pretty gross-looking. Like tomato soup. They luckily have a "wall of flame" (or something) with a bunch of bottles of hot sauce. I asked for something "real hot" and they brought over a hot sauce and a mild sauce (why not two hot ones? I asked for "hot"). The hot sauce was reasonably good-- minced scotch bonnets, not too vinegary. Not nearly as spicy as you'd expect from something whose main ingredient is scotch bonnet peppers, but it did have some kick to it. 8/10

Pico de gallo: Yeah right, like they have that. 0/10

Guacamole: Passable. Not a homogenous paste like the guac at Tequila. Nothing to write home about either. 7/10

Cheese: None. No cheese on fajitas? Maybe there was an option to get cheese and I just overlooked it? Anyway, an enormous oversight. 0/10

Chicken: Overcooked, but not horribly so. Either it wasn't marinated or the marinade was weak. Blah filler from what should be the star of the show. 4/10

Fajita veggies: good and plentiful. Maybe a little overcooked and soggy. And, man, what I wouldn't give for some jalapenos! 7/10

I make fajitas that are way better than this, and I'm hardly a master chef. Overall fajita score: 5/10

My wife got a chicken burrito. Another reviewer said the burritos were "fist-sized"-- but they're way bigger, unless you have enormous fists. Unfortunately, the burrito was just chicken and beans, and according to my wife the chicken was "OK, but not all that good". Also, I have to mention that the black beans that came on the side of the burrito were very liquidy. My wife gives the burrito 5/10

Here's my advice. If you gotta have Tex-Mex (I suppose I should say "HK-Mex"), this place beats Tequila by a little and beats Taco Loco by miles. But don't expect anything great, and make sure to ask for the hot sauce behind the counter. Final verdict: 5/10

Well, there are more and more Mexican restuarants in Hong Kong right now. I wish there are more ! Mexican food are just too good to resist ! If you have tried the American style fastfood chain- CHIPOTLE or QDOBA Grill, you will definitely miss the guacamole and buritto!!

I have tried the Mexican restaurant over in Elements, I Caramba! is better i think. For tonight, i have ordered
- Guacamole and Chips
- Burrito with Chicken/Pollo
- Chillis con Carne
- Chocolate cake with ice cream

I always love guacamole ! The guacamole has a better taste here!! (saltier and well-smashed avocados)

For the Burrito and Chillis, they are awesome as well. They come with Mexican rice and Black Beans, or you can choose chips instead! The Black beans are great ! you cant miss beans if you are having Mecian Food ! Both black beans and pinton beans are great !!
We are so hungry that we finished them all before reallizing that we didnt take photos !!

I will definitely come back again !

Despite the longer walk to reach I Caramba!, it was well worth it for the weekday TexMex Lunch Buffet. For only $78+10%, there's a buffet, ice tea or coffee and dessert (more on this later).

The restaurant, like most in Hong Kong, is long and narrow, making seatinga bit tight for larger/taller people. Also, as a result of space limitations, the buffet is placed in a small corner by the bar. While a bit cramped, the buffet was very complete from salad to condiments.

Mixed Green Salad - Pretty fresh but couldn't find any dressing. There was a very good egg salad also.
Guacamole and Salsa - Very tasty and freshly made. Condiments also included a variety of chilis, cheese and sour cream.
Black and refried beans - Both were cooked and spiced very well.
Fajitas - Chicken and pork options. The chicken was a bit dry because it was breast meat but both were very tasty. The flour tortillas were nothing special but did the job.

Dessert - As mentioned in previous reviews, you need to ask for the dessert since it's not laid out at the buffet. The dessert of the day was a very generously-sized and not too sweet flan.

Service was good, with rapid clearing of plates and refills of iced tea.

We got there right after Happy Hour ended [ one of the earlier end times in Soho, 6PM! ] so we didn't get to enjoy any drink specials.

A friend and I were starving but anticipated large servings and decided to share.

We started with Caramba Nachos at $98
-- which you really really have to get. Super delicious and more than enough for two to share. The fresh tortilla chips were piled high underneath layers of black beans, shredded chicken [which had amazing flavor], melted cheese, REAL guacamole with delicious chunks of avocado, jalapenos, black olives, and delicious pico de gallo. They are not messing around, these are serious nachos PERFECT for anyone craving all the best flavors of Mexican food.

We could barely tackle the Pulled Pork Burrito at $138
-- A fist sized burrito but packed entirely with a generous helping of barbecued pulled pork and some refried beans, and served on a bed of mexican rice, black beans, and more pico de gallo.

To drink we had the Caramba Margarita at $57 and Red Sangria at $57
-- both were delicious-- the Margarita on ice instead of blended was refreshing, sweet, tart and strong-- the salt rimmed along the glass and lime crushed at the bottom of the glass lingered and mixed perfectly with all of the delicious food. The Red Sangria was less sweet with notes of cherry, which mixed well with the pork and cheese rich meal. The best was to have wine soaked apples as a little dessert at the end of the meal once the wine was gone.

The staff were friendly enough and the atmosphere was typical Soho--really great ambience and bustling with foreigners and locals alike.

I also saw that they have a delicious brunch menu and others have mentioned a Lunch Buffet that I would love to-- stomach and wallet allowing!

* Also as a cute little touch they had 'Mexican Fortune cookies' to offer at the end, flattened fortune cookies to look like tacos.

When we arrived at 1235pm, there was just one man sitting inside and eating quietly
There are some choices, including tuna salad, curry chicken, rice, baked potatos, seafood with cream, a few sauces, nachos

All of them were quite good, not much oil, really!!! That's nice!
We could eat quite quietly, since there were not much ppl around!
We got some lemon tea to be served.

Finally, we asked whether we would have any dessert, they said yes!
However, my friend told me that no one told them about this she came last time.
If we dun ask, we wont get the dessert for free.

In conclusion, we got a full lunch, a satisfied lunch!

If they could provide more better service, it is better!

A few months ago, registered myself to their Birthday Club. Last night, got their e-mail to remind me that I get to enjoy a free lunch buffet and a free bottle of wine on my birthday.

Since it's such a good deal, I made a reservation for my wife and I for lunch. It turned out to be a great idea.

The buffet had lot of various Mexican dishes, and they were all very authentic. Lot of meat dishes, refried beans, nachos, sour cream, guacamole dip, etc. Since it was lunch and the weather was hot, we chose the white wine, which they served in a ice bucket. Expecting a cheap Chilean white, we were pleasantly surprised to find it to be a California Chardonnay, (Sycamore Lane, listed on their menu for $240 a bottle).

Ambience was nice, as it was only half full, and the service was quite nice. The only problem, (some also mentioned it in earlier posts), was that the waiter told me that we could not have the free bottle of wine, because the date wasn't right. It turned out that he read my ID wrong. What the ???

The nice manager smoothed things out later, and the bill came out to be HK$ 86 for both of us and a bottle of wine. Feeling guilty for paying so little, we left an additional $20 as tips.

With or without the birthday coupon, I think the lunch buffet is still a great deal, given the fact that most restaurants in Central charge that much money anyway for a set lunch.
