Normally I don't write for Korean BBQs but with Iroho, I was quite impressed. With most Korean BBQ restaurants, I get very bothered with the poor ventilation and the over-flavoring in the marinades that make the food either too salty or overpowering in flavor. Iroho provides a good selection of meets and seafood and as well you can choose the flavor of marinades which makes things more interesting if you are going with a large party and ordering several plates of the same cuts of meat. I wouldn't say the selection of meats is a huge one but I was quite happy. The quality of the meats no matter it was an expensive or inexpensive dish came well prepared and look well met with the price it was charging. However one pork dish I ordered came only with six slices and sold for $100hkd. Considering that it was sliced pork without any flavoring, and the pork was also not of supreme quality; I found that to be quite pricey. The vegetables were all fresh and the selection was quite adequate.
Ambience wise it was busy but it did not feel crowded. However, they did put me in table where I had to share the table with another couple. There were times I felt the couple was eaves dropping in my conversation (not intentionally) as we heard everything they were saying.
Service wise, at times I felt there was inadequate staff. The service was not bad but it wasn't great neither. The staff felt disappointed that I had not order beef ($$$) but that was only because my guest does not eat beef and did not want to order something that my guest could not enjoy.
Overall the food was excellent and I enjoyed my meal, and the charge to my dinner was very reasonable. I will definitely recommend it to a friend and also come back again.
