A few girlfriends and I were looking for somewhere fun to start our Friday evening and have a bite to eat - thankfully the place we tried to go to was full so we ended up ascending the LKF Tower and having the nicest of evenings at Boqueria.

We arrived half way through Happy Hour so immediately got stuck into the free flow sangria, Bar Pintxos and Tapas which is all laid out along the bar. We picked and nibbled our way through every dish, then started again. Some of the pintxos are pretty inventive and quite out there with pots and jars of all kinds of goodies; chiken liver pate, tuna tataki, grilled octopus, patatas bravas and more more more.

I think the selection changes every time but if you can try the crostinis topped with manchego cheese and serrano ham -  I couldn't help myself going back for more.

We didn't actually order anything off the main menu cause we didn't have to - we were perfectly happy with what we had (made more happy by the non-stop free-flow sangria!) - but it did look inviting so I think I might try a la carte next time.

All in all a fantastic back up plan that will definitely be the first place I try next time I fancy a fun night with the girls.

(I was banned from taking photos of the food (!) so I don't have any pretty pictures but I can assure you the food is as striking as it is tasty.)
