O Green is a brand new shop to me. Wanna give it a try after listening to colleagues' recommendation.

It is small with just about 15 seats. When I arrived shortly after 1.30pm, it was only half full. But 8 more people came some 15 minutes later. I think such patronage reflects its good quality of food.

I originally planned to order a salad with fish ($108) and a coffee ($30), but a waitress recommended the set lunch ($138) which offered four courses. Being greedy to try more with the same price, I ordered the set lunch eventually.

The first course is carrot soup. The orange colour was very appealing. There were some carrot cubes in the soup which was rich like purée. There was not much seasoning, so the fresh taste of carrot was outstanding.

The main course was pan-fried sole and hormone-free pork plus salad with flaxseed dressing. I was surprised with the large portion of the dish. The sole fish was tasty and tender with crispy skin. The pork was unexpectedly soft and juicy although it appeared to be dry and hard. The salad was immediately made upon receiving an order, so the vegetables were very fresh and crunchy. The dressing also tasted good, adding extra flavour to both the salad & meat. I totally agreed with my colleagues' positive comments on the salads.

Blueberry chocolate cake was the dessert. But to my disappointment, it was very dry, like overdone in microwave oven, and I did not taste much chocolate and blueberry flavour. The waitress explained that the cake was gluten-free and therefore not as moist as those usual cakes.

The set offered either tea or dandelion coffee. The latter was new to me and thus chosen. But its taste of coffee was weak. I later found out that it was de-caffeinated, and definitely not my cup of tea.

O Green is a good place for soup and salads, but not cakes to me. Still recommended anyway.
