It was my uncle's birthday hence 9 of us including my relatives all went to celebrate at their fav restaurant. I've been here quite a few times already and I have always loved their food. First off, we ordered more dishes than this but I decided to just post the best out of the lot. Even though many are afraid fo the chicken flu now, but we still really wanted to order the smoked egg. The yolk was perfect, but they just weren't as good as before because the smokey flavour was a bit blend. It just tasted like soft boiled eggs (I have high expectations for this place) I'm a lover of stinky tofu and this was fried perfectly! But again, it wasn't too stinky, but I guess that's the norm in HK because owners are afraid they'll stink out all the other patrons. I still like this This was stewed fish head with glass noodles. I'm not a huge seafood fan, but I couldn't taste alot of seafood in this hence, not sure if that's a good quality for all you seafood lovers out here. This fried duck is absolutely amazing! Crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside with just the perfect amount of fat. MUST ORDER! My favorite dish of all time--stewed fatty pork! Yes, it's a very fattening dish and I don't recommand eating this all the time, but GAWD this was delicious. Everythign just melts in your mouth and I think I ate half the dish... I love spices especially green onions so I ordered this sesame green onion biscuit. It came hot and crispy, but the aroma of the green onion just didn't come out. Still like it though, just not what I expected. Everyone loved this! Lots of soup and flavour and at one point, we ever ordered another one because it tasted so delicous! <3 <3 <3 LOVE We orderd the vegetarian bun because everything else had been so fatty. I didn't feel much for it because it was super blend and not just in a vegetarian way, but not too special. Hence, there were still 5 left by the time we left.
Overall, it's a pretty good restaurant and even though I don't know much the whole bill was, I'm sure it's not cheap. We also bought 6 bottles of wine there and yes they do charge corkage $50 per bottle. However, sometimes you can talk to the waiter and they might waive a bottle of two of the corkage fee (depends on your luck)
