Visited many different outlets of theirs around HK, but this is my first time visiting the one at Tseung Kwan O
Overall, the atmosphere is refreshing and the lighting makes the cafe look bright and clean. One reason for the quietness in the restaurant was probably that I was there for a late lunch, about 2.30pm. And so there wasn't much waiting time. As I have visited this cafe at another shopping center before, instead of ordering the same meal over and over again, I decided to try out their set lunch meals from their special menu.
I usually enjoy their fusion spaghetti's, and so thinking to try something new, I decided to take the "Slice of Chicken with Spaghetti in Black Truffle Cream Sauce". With an add-on of about 20hkd if I'm not mistaken, you can change it into a set, and that was what I did. This includes a soup and a drink. I ordered for cream soup and it tasted great! It was not too hot but not warm either, just the right feel for soup
The spaghetti tasted amazing with the egg. I think its one of those Japanese-imported eggs as it was very orange and mixed in very well with the spaghetti. The "black truffle" was in regular portion I guess, at least I can see them hahaha, unlike in other places. This spaghetti is worth a try!
My mum tried the "Teriyaki Beef Udon Don" and me just being me, I had to take some for try hahahha The beef was AMAZING. Very juicy and the teriyaki sauce was fabulous. The beef was excellent in my opinion. The egg, we mixed it with the udon, making the udon taste smoother!
Everything is alright in this cafe, however one thing disappointing was that the staffs were not very attentive. We had to call them about 3 or more times to get their attention to make orders and etc. And trying to pay for our meals at the end was quite troublesome as well hahahah But this cafe is worthwhile trial if you have not tried it before.
