Read all the good comments and went there for late lunch buffet (effectively it is tea buffet but they somehow call it the second round of lunch buffet), the result is - disappointment!
The food is alright but definitely not up to the 5-star hotel level. I am not sure if this is a 5-star of 4-star hotel so it is fine with me. The problem is the attitude of the staffs (some of them, in fact many of them) as well as the attention to details. Classic examples are:
1) For the sushi and sashimi, the wasabi and soy sauce provided were those little packs used in the "cheap" sushi takeout places. The taste of the so-called wasabi is highly chemical. Of course I am not expecting the natural grown and fresh wasabi, but at least it should provide normal ones like those in the rotational sushi shops. In fact I have never seen such (takeaway wasabi and soy sauce) in any hotel in Hong Kong before.
2) There is a grill section. In front of the grill, the plates were half full and all the beef were well done (in fact more like 110% done). I asked the cook behind the grill who was supposed to entertain the customers if he could get me a medium. He looked up slowly, gave me an impression that he was annoyed, and said "come back later and see if there is any lah". Sounds familiar to me like I was in mainland 10+ years ago....
3) Other than 3-4 staffs, most wait staffs are not professional. Many of them grouped together (2-3 in a group) and "chit-chat" but neglected the customers. Many of their conversations were heard by the customers and what I heard was some gossips and criticism on other staffs or managers. Certainly not well trained.
Many 4-star hotels offer much better food and services than this one and are more value for money. Why should I come back again?
