This review is specifically of the tofu (vegetarian) bahn mi. I ordered it to go, and service was quick and polite. While I can't speak to the other bahn mi, I found the tofu bahn mi to be very average. The bread was crusty and toasted, which I liked very much. But the vegetables were limp and tasteless, while the tofu was just the opposite--waaaaaaay too peppery, even for a pepper fiend like myself. I couldn't taste anything else except black pepper for the rest of the night.
Though I think Bun Mee is a good and convenient concept, especially given the lack of bahn mi places in the area, I have to say that I was disappointed with the tofu bahn mi, and may not be back to try the others.
