I went to Osteria for lunch today with my father. There was a few people there but overall it was quite quiet. The waiters and the manager are really nice and we sat down quite quickly in a little corner of the restaurant. In Osteria, you have two choices: a-la-carte menu or lunch set. The lunch set is $188 and I can assure you that you will be definitely full and satisified after this set. There are two choices for Appetizers: Cauliflower and Clams Soup or Antipasti Buffet. In Osteria, you have two choices: a-la-carte menu or lunch set. The lunch set is $188 and I can assure you that you will be definitely full and satisified after this set. There are two choices for Appetizers: Cauliflower and Clams Soup or Antipasti Buffet. Both of us chose the soup. For the main course there are four choices: Smoked Trout, Pasta, folded pizza with sausage and ham, and something else which I couldnt remember My dad chose the Smoked Trout and I chose the folded pizza. The dessert is Tiramisu.
When the soup arrived, it looks really nice and the smell that came out was wonderful. There are loads of clams and cauliflower chunks in the soup, so we are both very satisfied with that. i can taste both the cauliflower and clams. Then the main course came. My pizza was massive, which I thought is a bit too much for me. There are loads of excess pizza bread around the ingredients, but the good thing is that it is stuffed with loads of cheese, sausage and ham, so it was alright overall. But the smoked trout is a bit disappointing, despite its lovely appearance. There is not a lot of flavour in the fish and the potatoes are a bit burnt. The dessert is Tiramisu and it is really really nice!! Nice, moist texture and the sponge cake in the middle has absorbed the right amount of coffee. I finished this within a second haha
I would highly recommend this resturant to anyone. Great lunch experience :]
